IDAHO FALLS - Freshly cooked and customizable sweet hole foods are served up daily at Sugared Moose Mini Donuts in Idaho Falls.
Cort and Katelyn Pincock purchased the business in 2017. It initially started as a local farmers’ market favorite, but has since expanded as the mini donuts’ popularity grew.
Sugared Moose Mini Donuts utilizes its many different flavored powdered sugars, homemade sauces and toppings to coat the light miniature donuts. Each donut begins as a cake-style dough, dropping into the sizzling river of oil moments before entering the mouths of hungry customers.
The family-owned business prides itself on a variety of topping flavors.
“A lot of people come up and they don’t know what to expect with huckleberry sugar because it’s really unique,” Cort Pincock said. “It’s a recipe we have developed and it’s signature to us.”
Sugared Moose Mini Donuts also has classics like traditional cinnamon sugar found at other mini donut establishments across the country. However, the mini donuts are not like what you would find at the grocery store.
“They’re not even an hour old,” Pincock said. “When you come up and order, they are going to be made that moment, so sometimes there could be a tiny bit of a wait because we are making them fresh and warm.
Each week, there are specials including candy bar toppings and Rice Krispies Treats - this weeks creation.
Sugared Moose Mini Donuts has a permanent location with their trailer on 17th Street in the parking lot of Centennial Square. They are open Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
They also operate at events, including the Idaho Falls Farmers’ Market and Alive After Five. Sugared Moose can also attend private events like weddings and company picnics.
