Yeah, this was excellent. My first thought was "argh, a one-man band!" but he was fantastic. According to his website, he was in Moscow the day before this. One hell of a trek that.
Yeah, I was watching Glasto late on the Sunday - and this snapped me out of my bleery-eyed state. Love it - really fresh and new sounding, but also harking back to 80s electronica. Anyone else think he's got a bit of a John Foxx look going on there?
Tackytiger74 First thing I thought when I saw him, I've had both of his CD's for a couple of weeks, and listening to them made me buy The Garden by John Foxx again, because I was reminded of it By EIY. I have the vinyl but no turntable. This guy takes me back to when I was 18 in '83. No mean feat.
I agree - He was THE best and SO talented. The album is great too. Real 80's electro sound with a 21st Century twist - brilliant !!! SO reminds me of early Tears For Fears/Ultravox/John Foxx who is another total star.
