The third weekend of March saw the East Lancashire Railway holding a special 'Legends of Steam' Gala, featuring three well known express locomotives alongside of the railways own resident locomotives. With an intensive four train timetable over a three day event.
The lineup saw 45690 Leander, now in her final few months of her current boiler ticket, joined by 60007 Sir Nigel Gresley and BR Standard No.70000 'Britannia'.
