I like the vibe of the show. It’s gonna be intense, possibly heartwarming, and engaged. And my boy Jimmy Smitts is back on the screen! Can’t wait to see this!!
East New York has become my new favorite police drama series. This cast has been awesome. Can't wait for episode 1season 2 CBS Should keep East New York moving forward. People need to see good cops at work.
Community policing works! I couldn't do it but hats off to the producers for creating a show based upon this concept, I hope it doesn't get cancelled too early 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Not going to lie I love this TV show already and it's not even on it's about my hood and it shows an amazing courageous black woman running a Precinct it's amazing I can't wait to watch this every Sunday
Ngl, this one looks better than most of the ones out there. I have a feeling that many will enjoy it. If this gets cancelled right after season 1, I'll probably wont watch another new cop show because it's always the ones that I like that get cancelled.
It's weird seeing a show in the neighborhood I was born and raised in, but yea...its dangerous as hell. Moved out 2 years ago after my daughter was used to the sound of shootouts in the morning and night with her either knowing the shooter or the victim, it's wild in the East. Livonia and Georgia ave. Bamaz.
I live in New York. I know EAst New York. I grew up in H.B.- Howard Beach. I grew up as a Jewish LIberal. When I liked in H,.B., sometime in the 20th Century, me and my Friends would walk over to TSS- Times Square Stores which was a Cheap Version of KMart located not too far from the Pink HOuses. East New York not the greatest Neibhborhood although I went back to that area recently and it much more built up now with nice Stores there. They might do some stories on conflict between East New York and near by Howard Beach. They might also do some stores on Gentrificaiton. I know Bed Stuy or parts of Bed Stuy as well other near by like Bushwick got very Gentrified, but I am not sure that happenned in at lest a large amount of East New York.
@@HoldenNY22 old stomping ground’s for me I was born in Brookdale hospital and lived in the Blvd Houses until I was 11 and we moved to LI. We shopped in that TSS. The neighborhood was getting rough when we moved in 75.
Okay I saw somebody mention a crossover with the CBS hit Blue Bloods and I think that would be amazing. I also think it would be cool if maybe the character of Regina Haywood was introduced in the season 13 premiere of Blue Bloods next fall or have a storyline from Blue Bloods sometime in the season focus around her that maybe involves Frank or someone else from that show like Erin, Danny, Jamie, (or someone completely different) to sort of help get East New York going and more known to viewers or such. (Just a thought)
Hey CBS, you better be planning a BLUE BLOODS-EAST NEW YORK Crossover amount of episodes this upcoming season and beyond. Hey CBS, while you're at it, bring back Magnum PI and stop being cowards.
It looks awesome but then I get invested. they cancel so it feels like time and money is wasted. It’s an endless cycle. I’m at the point now where 90% of what I watch on YT or TV (streaming) is reruns. Or established shows like SVU, Greys and etc. I’m over it
There was another show where it was (I’m pretty sure) based in NYC with a female chief. It got cancelled after one season and I can see the same for this one.
This series was very well made. The actors were great, so I expected a season 2, much to my disappointment after it was approved they decided to nix it in favor of an additional season of S.W.A.T. which they had already cancelled.
This was good and something fresh for this network. Especially after having like 7 CSI shows. I'm just wondering was it other reasons it was cancelled and why no one decided to pick it up.
No city manager nor police chief could require officers (post-hire) to live in the districts they patrol. Thought I might start watching this show but changed my mind now.
A station commander has no say about where officers live. That literally would be a ruling between the union the mayor and chief. If a station commander even offered incentives to move they would be fired ASAP
nice clip. this is a neighborhood in Brooklyn. surprised its going to be featured as setting for a major show!! my boy Jimmy Smits from NYPD BLUE. can't wait to see this. 😊
I grew up in east New York trust me on this even today you have to be careful because it's still well east New York lol you have to grew up there to know what I'm talking about for me it was Essex street, and shepherd Ave.
Meh.. Sorry this doesnt look very exciting. Another tv drama where they wanna change things. Its always the same. New person comes in, wants to change things up, gets resistance and eventually gets stuff done....
To CBS: Please STOP just announcing "Jimmy Smits" as the lead-in to "East New York" as "The Equalizer" is ending... It's a subtle way of negating and minimizing the STELLAR performance of "Amanda Warren" as "Chief Haywood" and could ultimately sabotage the long-term success of the show!
Being a east néw York Brooklyn native from Warwick Street dumont ave they didn’t have none of us part of it how you gonna shoot our neighborhood and don’t know our culture and know what’s really take place without speaking to us who actually go thru it everyday
