I lived in East New York back in the 1970s. And let me tell you, It looks like a Paradise compared to how it looked back in 70s. Back then it was like the South Bronx X2. I lived on Elton Street between Dumont and Blake Ave. I went to P.S. 202 which is on Hegeman Ave. Crazy school and crazy neighborhood- lots of fights. Hey, but I learned how to get through life as a kid back then. Even though things were pretty crazy, I still have fond memories about East New York.
@@NaidooRisiba I still live in NYC. I did not go to High School in East New York. I only went to P.S. 202 in East New York. The High School that I went to was Sarah J Hale at 345 Dean Street in the Boerum Hill Section of Brooklyn. That was a pretty Crazy area back in the late 1970s too. Had a lot of Fun in Sarah J Hale, more than I should have had. I never got into any fights in Sarah J, as I made friends with several Kids from various neighborhoods. Plus a lot of the Kids from my neighborhood went there too. I did get suspended 2 times, though, but that another whole story.
