Always appreciate the extra info! I totally didnt recognize Yuki when I recorded the video but it was bugging me because I was thinking to myself "I know I have seen that guitar somewhere" lol. I was very impressed and surprised by the violin. Yuki from D_Drive is a great guitarist, so it was surprising to see the violin being more impactful than the guitar. I didnt notice that about the violin having extra string. That is probably why there was such a big diffrence between the types of sounds she was able to create. The violin is so beautiful sounding but also very dark sounding. Thank you for providing me with information! :)

@@Shreddawg Ayasa always plays with 5 strings. She is also part of the band Morfonica from the BanG Dream! franchise which has many great bands like Roselia. The fifth string is a C string and that is the one a viola has as lowest string. That means Ayasa has the range of a violin and of a viola at the same time. I haven't seen many with 5 strings but I saw also one with 7 strings somewehere. Ayasa also plays with many projects and as a guest violinist. I bought all of her CDs and Blu Rays. But one of the best things about her is the almost constant smiling to bring good mood to the audience.

That is some awesome information you are providing regarding the violin, admittedly I know nothing about violins though I do dabble with guitars. @@Shreddawgthanks for your answer. Although I am mainly a bass player I once played some cello, piano and I tried saxophone as well. I often watched concerts with strings because two of my children used to play strings. My daughter in law also plays violin. That's why I was interested. Given that violin, viola and cello are tuned with 7 halftones per string (5th tuning), Ayasa can play 7 halftones more. The double bass is the only string concert instrument which only has 5 halftones steps (4th tuning like the guitar). That is because the fingers would not be fast enough to go the whole distance. For example, you cannot even play 4 different tones with 4 fingers because the distance is too far unless you are at a higher fret (there are no frets but you know what I mean). This is only for double bass, not for the bass guitar. If you know BanG Dream! and you like happy playing people you need to watch anything of Poppin'Party. There is no other band I've seen which has more fun performing.

That is nice that your whole family seems to be musically inclined or at least interested enough in music to pursue it. I think that is really cool. I will have to check out Poppin'Party as that is one BanG Dream! band I have not personally checked out yet.

Yes, the vocals were really good! I was very intrigued by the bassist as well, I am sure she has a lot of skill to keep up with Yuki and the violinist. It was also surprising to see a left-handed bassist.

Legit supergroup. Every one of these musicians is/was in other, successful projects, and it shows. As I post this, other commenters have mentioned band leader Ayasa (vi - Morfonica), Akane (vo - Predia), and Yuki (gt - D-Drive), so I'll call out the amazing rhythm section of Mizuki (dr - Lonesome Blue) and Wakazaemon (ba - Marty Friedman). The latter is a very in-demand session bassist, too. So they're definitely not rookies! Ayasa and Wakazaemon in particular have played in front of stadium-size crowds plenty of times.

They really are incredible, huh? As was previously mentioned, all the ladies are from different bands. I didnt pick up on it till I noticed Yukis guitar and then I found out the drummer was from lonesome_blue when I was checking the twitter. So when you factor all that together im not surprised. At first listen if you dont know who they all are (I didnt on first listen) its crazy to imagine them being so good.

I can see listening to it multiple times you can pick up on different things. I was so distracted by the violin I didnt even notice the guitarist was Yuki from D_Drive. Although I found it funny that I recognized her guitar lol. Things are moving along... Early next week we should be done >.>

@@Shreddawg You might be surprised that DIH put up a new video on their channel about two weeks ago. Sena and On_B were posting a new cover video separately each week for the last few months, but the band wasn't posting anything. Also Band Maid has been commissioned to write a new song for yet another anime, so I'm expecting a new video from them soon. All I've heard is a small sample of the song, but it sounds like another rocker. I'm curious to see whether they release some footage from the Yokohama concert in the form of official live videos sometime soon. It should be interesting to see which video they release first, the one for the anime, or one of the live videos from Yokohama. I hope you get some really great news from the doctors.

I am very familiar with both NEMOPHILA and LOVEBITES! Ive seen NEMOPHILA twice here in Los Angeles and ive been following LOVEBITES since "When Destinies Align" was released. :)

I listened to the song, admittedly I have never heard it before. At first I was having difficulty finding the similarities but between the 5 and 7 minute mark, I can certainly see the similarities which was pretty cool to see. Its amazing to see how music evolves though there are core elements that remain the same.

@@ShreddawgYeah, its a totally different genre, its jazz-rock or fusion, but there you had in the end a lot o "shredding" and of course we have the violin of Jean Luc. Another group at that time was Mahavishnu Orchestra who were also known for their crazy shredding for the time and also had a violin player. But their sound was quite a bit more "chaotic" compared to metal or even Ponty.

Yeah they remind me a lot of Unlucky Morpheus. I can see what you mean about the growls, I am not always the biggest fan of it myself. It works in some songs but I am glad this song in particular is free from growling. Oh yeah, I can see Galneryus as well!
