Everyone talks about gapping, but never discuss profiling. The most important component to reed response, volume, bending, etc is the physical shape of the reed. When you press the moving end, the ENTIRE reed should dip into the slot at the same time. The reed should be as flat as possible, with no curl or bend, which allows it to be gapped much tighter without choking. I’m telling you, look into reed profiling… it’s the most impactful adjustment that can be made.

I have Hohners, Suzukis, Seydels and I love them. I have two Easttops and I like them a lot. I use them the most really. My C one is my main practice harp. I like trying cheap ones just for the heck of it. Might try the Kongsheng Amazing 20 next.

@@MP-tf7cc I ended up getting one. I’m impressed with it. It’s been redesigned a bit. The cover plates are different in the back and it doesn’t say deluxe on it. It’s really nice. Rockinrons still is offering the deluxe one and the newer design.

The reed plates are thicker on the Easttops.

Easttop is a very good Harmonica , not perfect but who’s perfect? Even the top brands has their flaws, you might check the Easttop T10-3 mustache friendly model of them .
