@gezzly72 Because the Hulk of the TV series was a more "street-level" character than the one in the comics. He's vulnerable to knives and bullets and such (though he heals so quickly that unless you kill him in one shot, he'll be fine in a minute or two). I know in the comics he can survive such things as entire planets exploding, but that would make for a complete lack of excitement in a show where everyone he faced was a normal (and often untrained) human being.
I think the reason why they never had the Hulk get real violent is because the producers knew that a lot of kids were watching him and they didn't want kids to learn a lot of violence.
... time to start downloading all of Alex's clips. Looks like NBC/Universal is being anal about them again. (The second East Winds Hulkout is offline at the time I write this, and it's far from the only one that's been taken down in the past couple of days)
I know when he did an interview some years after the hulk, he hated the show. I always thought, if you hate the Hulk so bad, then why be on the show. He did have high praize for Escape from the Planet of the Apes, where he played the president.
+Firefighter K. Wann Banner was poisoned by that fish they were trying to make Keeler eat. According to the story of the episode it causes organ paralysis and eventual heart failure. So between that and fear he was feeling not knowing what was going on triggered the change in my opinion.
***** Banner had no idea what was happening to his friend. He transformed out of fear and pain from the fact he was close to near death from being poisoned from the fish.
@@Romulan2469 well reading up on it apparently David banner already had something inside him, laying dormantt assuming this was his inner strength all along the gammer rays he was supposed to use was a 15 second dose, but he accidentally used six times what he had thought to be the maximum dose. The massive dose combined with David's atypical adenine-thymine level in such a way that, from that point forward, he metamorphosed into "the Hulk".creature that gave physical form to all his hurt) whenever he became angry or stressed.
@@davidbannerbanner914 i hope in those 2 years you have matured a little bit since saying things like that about other person mother over some episode of The Incredible Hulk is childish and stupid
