If the BBC launch their own theme park, they could build a Queen Vic pub and include recreations of classic scenes like the one shown in this video. They could stage this in the daytime and stage a recreation of Aunt Babe been thrown out of the Vic at nights.
I’ve just heard the dreadful news about Barbara Windsor passing away. This scene was the first thing that came to my mind. God rest your soul Barbara 😢
Phil was proud of his mother for taking it on the chin. Big Mo smoked a cigarette to say to Pat I told you so. She'd warned Pat to stop cheating. Roy being humiliated knowing that was why Pat cooked them the meal. Eastenders isn't that good now
Well done Phil Mitchell! You showed him. Poor Peggy, after all the men with whom she has been, they have just never done her any favours. Frank deserved Peggy more than he deserved Pat.
@supernova girl you humiliate yourself in the process; they did it because it creates drama. In reality nobody in their right mind would do this and in reality frank and pat wouldn't just stand there, they'd spare them self the humiliation and walk out.
Pat and Frank stood there like naughty school kids being told off lol. Guess it’s tricky acting reciting the content of a letter if the dialogue’s not actually written on it 🤷♂️ , lots to memorise and deliver convincingly. All the regulars sat dumbstruck lol. Hope you enjoyed the fireworks, in more ways than one eh Peggy! Can imagine this as a scene on Corrie too, with Bet being cheated on.
Doubt it ,Reid was elderly looking here and worn out and that's why he was leaving the show because of his advancing age so they wouldn't have done any scenes like that with him or would they have had grant (a younger fitter man ) attack him as it wouldn't have worked nor would it have went down well with audiences.
Shane Folan yes there would it EastEnders? plus frank came back years later. 2000 Grant would’ve gone for frank and even punched him like Roy did. With how Grant was cheated on by Sharon and Phil.
Barbara Windsor did a brilliant job of carrying this scene, most of them now would bore you to tears before it got to the slaps (apart from Linda Henry perhaps (Shirley))
