You just can't beat the old tv stuff even the quality brings back great memories watching EastEnders with my nan now its nothing more then a Hollyoaks style show now
Hollyoaks is boss it's actually got good the last 3 months sure it's changed a bit like the rest of the world but it's more worth watching than eastenders and take off the nostalgia goggles
our phil? i wouldn't want anything to do with that scumbag..even though he's only a fictional character and not to be taken seriously there are those people who actually do and admire him...pathetic..
It would have been interesting to see Nick have his battles with the Brannings. Particularly with Max, Jack and/or Derek. Would have put Dot’s loyalties to the test big time. Could’ve made a storyline out of it akin to Nick’s feud with the Fowlers.
@@Hulk2k6 True, but by a similar measurement it's about time they killed Phil off as well. How many NDEs has he had? How many rivals has he beat up or set up? How many times has he got away with criminal activity? Has he even got a record as he seems to get away with everything he's done. None of this is hardly believable or realistic either. It has got to the stage where he has become bigger than Eastenders, or even bigger than the BBC, and so they don't have the cojones to do it. Consequently Phil's become a bit of a parody ( with Steve McFadden becoming typecast ) and Eastenders has lost a lot of credibility as a result. Deservedly so.
@@RPKGameVids Yeah I feel that Derek could have been a long term character if he turned a new leaf. Like say Nick cotton or Carl White had been the cause for him to help change his ways. The problem is the writers didn't know if they wanted him to be a serious baddie or a comedy character and by the end they rushed making him a out and out baddie again.
You all probably dont care at all but does any of you know a way to log back into an Instagram account? I was dumb lost my password. I love any help you can offer me
The best advice I had from the local vicar, a charming chap, was if adversity looms, sit down together, spread butter over warm scones and share a nice cup of English tea.......or get tanked rigid together in the local pub.
It seems like Nick and Phil were opposite sides of the same coin. Nick was a sleazeball who tried to con/blackmail, and his first victim was usually his mother. Phil was a bruiser whose family insisted he had to be that way.
@@H.K.5 yeah Nick is honestly one of if not the most Ruthless killer in the show's history imo maybe only tied with Gray. given Nick not only murdered people but he did it for such crappy selfish reasons he literally murdered two random old men who he had no beef with simply so he could get pocket change to go buy drugs like none of the actual Gangsters in EE come close to that kinda ruthlessness in my opinion.
@@justjoshua5759 well since the show tries to make out like he's this dangerous criminal and he himself threatens to murder people every other week I'd say his lack of follow through is a pretty big deal and worthy of scrutiny.
@@acceptableandbornind80s32 lol I could never really decide if Nick was a hard man or not.. he did batter a few guys and manhandled some others but the majority of those guys were complete wimps
Mark Fowler hated Nick Cotton and Phil Mitchell hated them both and they hated each other besides them hating Phil Mitchell so amongst the 3 of them would be every man for himself
I'd have liked to have seen Nick be a bit of a hard case and be able to stand up for himself. At least sometimes. It wouldn't be unbelievable. Hello ma!
He did sometimes but not very often.. I think sometimes the writers just do stuff that makes absolutely no sense at all.. like in recent episode when Eve choked that loan shark with little difficulty
If i had to pick between the 2, id rather it be phil i bump into in the dark ally. He's tiny in comparison. But then, just like most small men, their ego's are always bigger than their heads.
Really? Murdered two people, responsible for his own sons deaths, intended to kill mark. Attempted murder of Ronnie, Roxy and a unborn child, nearly killed a load of children in a cafe, and attempted to kill his mum. If that's not classed as a hard man I don't know what is. He's probably attempted or succeeded to murder than most characters in the soap of so-called full of hard men. Oh not to mention blackmailing Kathy over her rape and adopted child at the age of 14, if he's not hard than he certainly is a deranged nutter
