Good morning Dave and YV! What a great Dept 56 collection. And the tree is absolutely beautiful. Looking at your view numbers, not that I'm an expert because my views are horrible, BUT, I do know viewers like to see HOW you do what you do. Also before you actually set it up a video of the pieces close up and personal. Perhaps some even want to get to know you better. Just a few suggestions. Hope you don't mind.
Hey MaryAnn and Joe, thanks for commenting. We don't mind your suggestions at all. Unfortunately, I am still working full-time and YV is now taking care of a parent part-time so our free time is limited. We just don't have that kind of time to devote to this. On top of that, I am doing videos on my comic book channel and my personal interests are more towards that. Not to be flippant, but at this time were are not trying to build a big channel. One thing I have noted about channel building is you have to do videos constantly, which we are unable to do (and not sure we really want to do that even if we had the time.) But this channel used to get a bunch of views organically without us doing much of anything other than holiday videos set to music, and that seems to have dried up which is puzzling to me? We have about 1,900 subscribers and as I write this, only 72 views which I guess means that the vast majority of our subscribers have no interest in the channel anymore? As I mentioned, we are not really interested in being RU-vid decorating stars, but at some point this becomes a waste of our time. Finally, the channel name change may have been detrimental. As you mentioned, you had to resubscribe wihich is also puzzling?
