A couple things; based on the recent community poll I know a bunch of you are hyped for a SMM2 Glitch video. I do want to do this, but it'll take some time before I can get a solid video out for you. Here’s a cool Easter egg I noticed. When you complete the story mode and the credits are finished, look at the score before the screen fades away. The score matches the month, day, and year of the day you’re playing the game on.

Lav Is A Shulk Main trying to decipher who each of the job givers are was legit my favorite part of story mode. Unfortuantely, the vast majority of them stumped me. I don’t if they were even any other non-Mario characters besides the Splatoon ones. I feel like there were, but I can’t place them. Also, no one else seems to care but me, which doesn’t help.

There are a few characters from Nintendo games that give you missions in the story mode through fake names. Some of the known ones are: Name Withheld by request: Bowser Jr. Father of Name Withheld: Bowser Legendary Explorer: Captain Toad There are definitely more, but these were the 3 we agreed on in Beardbear's comment section.

2:53 In 3D World there were a couple levels where you would put on a Goomba mask, and other Goombas wouldn't chase you, thinking you were one of them. This is probably a reference to that.

When you place a block, it says its name. I found this in 3D World style placing an on off switch. It said "On Off Switch!" It also changes pitch depending on the part in the song.

if you go into a latiku cloud with a toad (march of the rooke toads) they float behind you literally while making an awful noise (you kill the piranna plant and jump into the cloud with 1-10 toads behind you and they follow you by floating behind you)

Easter egg you missed: if you have a skipsqueak try to jump over three red track blocks (stacked vertically) then the skip squeak will try to jump over it and it will get sad

Some other stuff regarding story mode lol *Yamamura's Hiding Spots* Yamamura can be found in three locations when you complete the castle. Spot 1: Shoot the East Hall Cannon Spot 2: Exit the West Hall 2F by the door Spot 3: Inspecting Undodog's Dry Bone Shell Completing all of Yamamura's jobs will place an ON/OFF Switch Block on the third floor of the Main Hall. Hitting this will have Yamamura pop out of the window. *Superball Flower and Super Hammer* The Superball Flower is found on the middle block of the row of ? Blocks prevented by Hard Blocks. Obtaining it also gets you a costume set so yeah. The Super Hammer is obtained by 100%ing the castle. *Peach's Jobs* Peach will have three jobs for you once you finish up the castle. Two can be cleared right away. You must clear all jobs before clearing the last one. *All Job Clearing* Clearing all jobs will give the Taskmaster some new dialogue. Clearing them with the help of Luigi (or letting him do the work) will have Taskmaster say something by the lines of: "But it looks like Luigi helped you on some of those jobs, so why don't you do it yourself?" Clearing every single job in the game without the help of Luigi will give you a full Coursebot costume set.

If you place a tile the sound that is playing in sync with the song isn’t just a sound, the actually saying the tile name. If you place the Spike Trap it will say Spike Trap but tuned.

the little hop he does in smb3 when he stands on the white semi solid, is a reference to the secret exit in the 3rd level, in which you hold down on a white semisolid for 5 seconds, and proceed to fall through the semisolid.

At 5:17 (for those who don’t know) that happens in SMM1 because it’s basically Nintendo saying that they saw the glitch that happened in Super Mario Bros. 3 where you would crouch on the white platform and you could go behind the stage and all that. That’s just Nintendo’s way of saying “hey, we fixed that!”

in the story mode's desert level "ancient seesaw fortress" there is a coin formation which looks like the triforce. at first i thought the gap in the middle of the "loot/treasure" was an indicator of a hidden 1-up. looking at it better, it reveals to look slightly like the triforce.

In SMB3(the NES one), If you crouch on a white semisolid platform, you can phase through the background and find a secret Toad House. But in SMM, Mario will struggle to phase through. That's why he makes the "vrrwp" sound.

The white block thing is from mario 3 where if you stood on the bottom white block in one of the first levels, you could go into the background and walk around there. It’s referenced a lot and even in other video games like celeste where is you did the same thing when you encountered one, you could find a secret

Im not sure if this was a joke or not but the thing where Mario “passes gas” in the SMB3 theme is because in the actual super Mario bros 3 game you can jump behind the white block by crouching on it for a bit so in Mario maker they made him look like he’s trying to jump behind it

The passing gas while ducking on a white semi-solid platform is weird, but it's a reference to the SMB3 easter egg where you can fall behind the background if you duck on a white semi-solid platform for long enough.

The sound made when placing blocks and objects in maker mode, is actually saying name of what you are placing.

When placing the object the sound that plays is the name of the object. So it sounds weird when placing tons of them together.

On some items,the voice says a different thing then what its called, like the red cannon, voice says: red cannon. game calls it: cannon

I think I experienced a Easter egg in the game. When I put down something like the on/off switch it would actually announce that I put it down. For example every time I put it down it would say “on/off switch” in a somewhat distorted voice. So far I’ve only heard it in new Mario bros. On the airship theme to be specific. It also announced many other things but some I wasn’t able to hear. The on/off switch was the clearest one.

In handheld mode, if you put your finger on Undodog and slide it off, you can hear Undodog growl when you put your finger on him,and whimper after sliding it off.

The multiple weird marios were based on the cherry power up from 3d world, where you'd multiply when collected them. The goomba, there was a goomba mask item in 3d world. And the luigi is reference to the year of luigi thing in 3d world where you could search for pixel luigis in all the levels.
