I just really wished you could explore the island at your leisure. Sure, you could still use the menu select, but being able to traverse the island, to actually find these sports would be so awesome! It would feel like an actual vacation on a resort island!
@@zs1171 yeah... It would be awesome, but since their new -Wii- Nintendo Sports game doesn't let you walk around the Square, I ain't seeing that happening any time soon. At least the game has a free movement sport, Football (yes, I'm European), so it's sort of a step in the right direction.
If you go back to the menu after beating Matt, by holding the 1 button before entering you can get the purple sword again This also works after you beat the last level of showdown If you hold the dpad in any four directions in bowling upon entering the game, you can change the color depending on the direction (im sad you didn’t get this one, you are “dpadgamer” after all) In basketball (pickup game) if you hold 2 upon entering the game you can play the game during the night If you hold 2 upon entering a game of golf you disable the hud, no map, nothing that tells the wind direction and speed, no nothing, making the game harder Holding 2 when entering a game game of table tennis (match) will make it an 11 point game instead of 6 Man, i remember too much from this game, it was one of my favorite wii games and I played it to death
When wii sports came out, my dad was messing with the bowling controls until he realized that it was possible to aim it in such a way that you could launch the ball over both gutters into an adjacent lane. He spent quite the amount of time playing frame after frame until he got a strike in the adjacent lane and, frankly, there should have been an achievement for doing so. Guy's a legend
I dont think thats possible in wii sports from what i remember when i tried doing that when the ball is about to hit the other pins the ball despawns and it goes to the next turn but that was in wii sports resort
4:22 Playing for almost 10 years, I found a way to make the ball stay on the rails. So of course you go to move to the railing on either side. Next, move slightly out and rotate towards the railing (Don’t rotate too much). Then, switch back to moving to the edge of the rail again. Now, zoom in, rotate and adjust it until you see 6 full lines (Don’t count the one cut off the by the screen). Also, make sure you can’t go further to the sides. Finally, throw your ball carefully and you should do it. I did this trick about 5 years ago and I managed to get a perfect 3000 because of that, 4 times. I hope this helps.
For the shoe as a paddle you need to beat the champion, then after when you enter another game after Lucía, you need to quit then select your amount of players, then start to hold 1 on your remote and until the new game loads, let go and then slap the ball with it. And for an 11 point match, you must also beat Lucía and instead of holding down 1, you hold down 2! For both at the same time, take a guess, hold down both.
5:50 Because Morse code can be communicated through sound, sight, and touch, and only requires a binary method to communicate it, making it very versatile.
Another easter egg (or it’s more like a fun fact) at flying is that at some point, your Mii will have a Mii companion in their back (usually another Mii that you created) and when you fly upside down, they will raise their hands and shake until you return to the normal position
I'm late to the party but I actually found out about the 100 pin challenge easter egg on accident. My brother kept beating me and I was so mad I just threw the bowling ball right at the railing; somehow I effortlessly managed to get the ball to perfectly coast down the railing, getting the infamous strike. I think the best part about that day was how my brother tried to copy me for the rest of the game while I seriously bowled and I managed to win :')
*It's raining tonight. You should check the Midnight Channel.* *There's an image on the screen!* *You don't recognize who they are, so you decided to go to bed.* *pi pi pi* Yosuke: DUDE THAT WAS WII SPORTS MDHUDFUCSTFYS3XT--- >Wii what? >OMFGDVUFYDTS4DUGUF< (Sorry. I was far too excited by the P4 stuff towards the beginning)
Can I just say how happy I am to find out that I’m not the only one who designed some of my favorite characters as miis and not just real people I know? 😅😅
with me the basket bike ACTUALLLY worked. you have to go into cycling and once you see the mii choosing screen you hold 1 and release it when the "loading screen tip" shows up and you definetly did that in other games
Sadly, this didn't highlight the jogging easter egg. If you go around the whole island, there will be a dog running in front of your trainer. If you pass your trainer, you will start following the dog instead, ending in the small bit of houses where you also hear the SNES music. It's quite a small and neat interaction though. Unless that was in Wii Fit and I am mistaking games, but I actually think I am not.
Wii sports mii's when you throw the ball into another section: Funni Wii sports resort mii's when you throw the ball into another section: We don't do that here
There are some extras you unlock not after Pro status but after reaching a certain score or doing extra chalanges, maybe the basketbike IS real but requieres more than just pro status
I remember I was always stuck at Castle Reverse in Wii Sports Resort Showdown. I bought another copy of the game, and ladies and gentlemen, I beat Volcano Reverse.
There are a few of these "myths" for example EVERYWHERE says you can get a silver racket in the original tennis, but you just can't (it's not in the game files even)
0:44 see the ocean? It’s a yellowish orange color, me and my friend kept on playing this sword fighting one until he got to it when the water was orange, just so when we fell in we could pretend it was lava
Once the player attains pro status in cycling, the player can hold the 1 button button while choosing the Mii to use a "basket bike." The "basket bike" either has a picture of a pizza or some flowers on it depending on the Mii's gender. try this
I can say that the first level of expert to hit the hidden target took longer than the sum of all of them, bruh. Wind, distance it was HORRIBLE, now that i have the acchivment i'll never do this again
One thing is if you collect all 80 stamps on Island Flyover, you get a house with your mii's face on it, similar to how you can have your mii's face on the big blimp. The house is on the island where you would find the i-Point "Private Island." I also think that the text changes when you have the house there too! Just wanted to point that out. I'm surprised that you didn't put that in your video, but hey, beggars can't be choosers.
I've never been able to activate the basket bike, not surprised that it's total BS lol. Also, I obviously remember the backwards bowling ball thing but completely forgot about tossing it into another lane, not done that one for about a decade
I spent more time traumatising the Miis then I did actually bowling. This has certainly impacted my personality, who can say if its for better or worse...
if you hold a pickaxe and start mining a block half way, switch to another block, and the pickaxe and the block wont break but start flashing all of the textures in the game on the one block!
