the rein highlight intro is a refference to the optimus prime iconic jump in the 1986 movie

Might be a reach, but to me the bird on the bumblebee skin looks like it may resemble Laserbeak from Transformers Armada which was orange and in that continuity it was part of the Autobots team rather than Decepticon.

Yeah it's plausible the Rein & Bastion skins were designed during Overwatch 1. Not only because of Rein's old 08 number on the skin, but as Bastion if you wave in assault mode while using the Bumblebee skin, he is using the Overwatch 1 version of the repair arm instead of the updated Overwatch 2 look of it. In the end it doesn't really matter because they're still amazing skins.

They really should've made the starscream pharah the free skin. I feel like starscream is known even by people who aren't active fans of tf.

As someone who is a fan of Transformers since Beast Wars era, this collab is a treat (not for my wallet though 😂). Maybe it’s my own bias, but out of all of the current collabs, TF probably has the most rerun potential. They’ve already spoken about some scrapped concepts (Soundwave Lucio, Starscream Pharah, Unicron Wreckingball) but there’s so many others they could do. Optimus Primal Winston, Alpha Trion Zenyatta, Blackarachnia Widow Maker, etc.

I am so happy Bastion got a skin! Bumblebee Bastion just looks so good, and Optimus Prime Reinhardt just amazing. They all look great! By far my favourite collab up until now! I hope they come back to this collab sometime in the future and add more Transformer skin! GREAT VIDEO!!

If you read the teaser/intro comic from the Transformers website, the lore is, Megatron and the 3 Autobots, give them power on some way, that gave them the looks of the transformers, without actually being them in game. I actually like that.

They are actually cassettes autobots, that are allies of blaster (steeljaw, rewind ...) but i don't remember a bird one

They do Ball skins for free all the time, so I'm kinda disappointed they didn't do the Unicron (idk if thats how you spell it) skin

Optimus Primehardt is crazy! The detail is insane, the colors are on point, & the voiceover is beautiful!!!

Best versions of each of these characters is in the IDW comic series from 2005 to 2018 Also I wish they added a few more. I would've also had Lucio as Soundwave, Pharah as Starscream, Venture as Shockwave, and Junkrat as Wheeljack.

My personal favorite of these skins is Bumblebee Bastion. I admit I have a bias as a Bastion main, but in this particular case, Bastion's core gameplay is absolutely perfect for this collab. Not to mention his personality and his robotic voice that's very reminiscent of some of his recent adaptations.

missed opportunity to have rein say "i have the touch" when he is getting nano boosted

I love the Megatron skin, but I feel like it's a missed opportunity to incorporate his fusion cannon into the staff in some sort of way.

I personally wanted Bastion to have a Soundwave or a Shockwave skin! As Soundwave, Bastion's bird would be Lazerbeak, his turret would be Soundwave's shoulder cannon and his gun-arm could be him holding Megatron as a gun or something! As Shockwave, Bastion's bird could be decepticon themed, his turret could be a the barrel of Shockwave's cannon (he transforms into a tank in Prime I believe) and Shockwave already has a gun-arm so that would work perfectly!

The fact there is only one decepticon is sad where tf is starsceam? My boy Megatron needs his sidekick

1:16 - I call him "Optimus Primehardt" ^^ 5:20 - Eh, I don't think the cosplay argument is valuable anymore. They made a 'too close to original' skin. You can say what you want, but it's not Reinhardt cosplaying as Optimus, it's Optimus cosplaying as Reinhardt. Take the hammer from him and it's Optimus being himself.

They should’ve made bastion bees license plate b127 for obvious reasons

The rian optimus prime highlight intro is a reference to the G1 movie we're optimizing to fight the decepticons in autobot city Bastion's bird is a reference to laser beak from Transformers armada

If you'll excuse me, there's various skins from Reinhardt that wield an Axe instead of a hammer As well, the Transformers Animated counterpart of Optimus Prime uses his Axe like Reinhardt

Imagine Primehart said "Till all are One." Also funfact there was an orange repaint of Soubdwave's Laserbeak

What's really cool is that reconfiguration highlight intro for Bastion if you have the bumble bee skin equipped it makes the transform noise still so it really improves that already really cool highlight intro

I really hope we get a wave 2 with those scraped skins pharah’s kit is literally perfect for screamer and while Lucio soundwave would be weird I wouldn’t be opposed and I just can’t say no to another 86 movie reference with unicron I really hope they give us these skins sometime in the future

I get what you mean with the axe, but you gotta remember that SEVERAL of Rein's other existing skins have axes already!

I saw someone using the rein transformer highlight intro with the Demon Lord skin. It was hilarious cuz the first few seconds of it was just a pair of demon nips. 🤣

How about “Autobots Rollout” for Rein as he respawns, I felt that one was free for sure

Wish there would have been logo weapon charms, and I feel like the skins could have done a better job of putting the logos visible on the weapons in first person. Other than that, I have no complaints.

I wanted more Decepticon skins. Starscream would’ve been dope.

I don't mind the skins as of late, even as someone who isn't a fan of Transformers... I just wish they weren't so expensive. Between this and the battlepass bundles that have exclusive skins, it's just too much...

Yes, why doesn’t Rein have an axe for his Optimus skin!? He has skins with with weapons other then hammers!

its should've been, Megatron-Ramattra, Optimus Prime-Reinhardt, Starscream-Phara, Bumblebee-Bastion, all to buy. and Arcee Illari as a Free Skin. since lets be honest, its probably the worst in the collab. it just doesnt really look like G1 Arcee. As a Transformers fan, I give this an 8/10. good purchase.

They didn't bother to make Lucio a Soundwave cosmetic😔

It is a good colab. I would have like to see more balance to decepticons and autobots. Team Four should have done 3 Autos and 3 Deceps. As good as the bubblebee skin is for bastion - it should have gone to someone else. Let's not forget Bastion has STEALTH (which is Shockwave) far better than bubblebee for Bastion. They could have give us Star Scream and Soundwave. Think about it - Soundwave Lucio and Star Scream Echo (so perfect for all those transformations). What are your thoughts?

I'm probably the only guy who is thinking this but after Overwatch for some time it feels like your the voice of Reinhardt and I'm all extremely proud in that thought but if I'm wrong then oh well P.S I to am a Transformers fan

This would have been perfect had we gotten a Starscream Echo and a Soundwave Lucio.

tbh i just dont like them , sure theres a lot of detail for fans nut the skins itself just doesnt peek me especially for the price. opt is the best one because hes so easily recongnisable even when youre on the other team, but the others just dont stand out. i think it could be bacause of the whole theyre cosplaying thing that theyre too close to the original that its off putting for the price. also illari looks creepy sorry

Edit: in sure you stopped watching after G1 but in 2003 the show transformers armada came out and the human team got a spy camera to protect him named laserbeak. I think that what blizzard was going for with Ganymede since that laserbeak was orange and gray and an autobot. Edit 2: though unless your a big time transformers fan your not gonna really know who arcee is so I think part of the reason they picked the skin was because in the early 2000s comic arcee started off was more of a male robot and shockwave wanted to introduce genders to the planet Cybertron and turned arcee into a female which kinda drove her/him crazy so I think they picked her more for the LGBTQ group to please then because she well known cause she really isn't unless you grew up with a transformers series she was in. That being G1,transformers energon,transformers prime, transformers cyberverse and whatever the newest one is that only HBO Max. With a lot of year gaps between those series, I think that why blizzard picked her In an interview they said they had been working on this collab since early 2022 but it's true what you said as it looks to good. I'm sure they had design sketches long even before they had the ok with Hasbro already in the works waiting for the eventual ok. Sad no free skin or about the starscream,sound wave and unicron skins. Maybe one day we'll get a part two like they said they hope they can and they will show up then

I like the skins but I'm not gonna go out of my way to buy them or even play the game because of those skins because I know over watch they're way too expensive for what it is if it was like three bucks 5 Bucks for a skin I would be fine with it but it's like 20 bucks for one skin that's way too much that's the reason I stopped playing the game because I know myself if I'm gonna play the game I want to skin and then I'm gonna get tired of them after an hour to play in the game so no thanks

I'll admit, maybe that's just me and the circle I run in... .. id bet all the tea in china they just weren't finished with them but they had to ship the product for quick cash. My @sshole.. they could've doubled the revenue OR they did finish starscream and Soundwave and they just looked crappy af. .. no way they passed up that loot because "they were worried some people wouldn't get in."
