I re-visited the Galentine Handbag and made it 11.5 inches wide. It is Easter-themed with an Easter Egg mandala and an Easter Basket pop-up Card. The file can be found here design.cricut.com/landing/pro...
you are amazing, you notably share your projects, but the way everything fits and your tutorials are genius. I cannot thank you enough for your brilliance!
Hi Louise , love the pattern. Thanks for sharing. Are you planning on doing one for Mother’s Day? Guess wondering how I would go about changing the Easter eggs to maybe flowers?
The suggested materials for this project are listed in the description of the file when you open it in Cricut Community. They are just suggestions, I have seen so many crafters use their own favourite materials and create incredible projects based on the file.
Is there any way to buy this design? I use a silhouette machine. I’d love to buy this design but I’ve been told that unless I buy Cricut machine I can’t get this purse
Love love love these bags. Made the small one and just finishing the large. The handles seem to be too short? They are the same size as the ones for the small bag. Can you help?
Unfortunately the length of the handles are limited by the maximum size that you can cut on a 12" by 12" mat, which is 11.5". If you have some card stock that measures 12 by 24 and have a 12 by 24" mat, you can go into the file, select one of the handles, click on "detach", then go to the top of the screen where you see the measurements of the handle and click on the little lock and make sure it is in the open position. Next, change the 11.5 measurement to the length that you desire. The length should change but the width needs and should remain the same. Then, re-position the score lines, select your piece and the score lines and select "attach". If you do not have the longer mat or the longer card stock, you can take a look at the handles on my diaper bag video and maybe adapt them to be longer ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-q7J13-ASGHY.html
I'm struggling with the bow on the bag. I ungrounded everything and only cut the pieces for the bag (I think). I have 3 pieces for the bow? I only saw you put a bow in your card. Is it the same for the bag?
Ah yes! The bow. I had originally made that first bow for the card and it was too big, so I made a new one and used the first one on the bag instead. It was an afterthought. I forgot to amend the file with the version that I prefer and I will go and do that now. Thank you so much for letting me know. I really appreciate it!
In the file that is linked in the description box, the front panels of the handbag are blue and then there is a decorative layer on top that is white but it has blue vinyl polka dots (the dark blue layer) on top. The side panels and the bottom of the bag is white. There is a light blue "pocket" in the file that is there to hold the pop up card. I hope that helps.
I like either Art Glitter Glue (contains no glitter, it's just the name) or Bearly Art Precision Craft Glue. I like to transfer my glue into the tiny precision tip glue applicator bottles that you can see in the video.
Unless you have the larger Cricut mats and some 12" by 24" paper, this version gives you the widest handbag you can cut without drastically altering the file. Some have made the bag taller, which you can do by adding extra height to the panels of the bag. Keep in mind, that with a 12 by 12" mat, the largest you can make your panels is 11.5"
