Today, April 22, Earth Day is celebrated. The movement to protect the environment started around the 70s. While the video was playing, which was very nice, I read a bit about Easter Island. I read about the ecology of the island, where they say things that can make you sad, because the arrival of people on the island led to the extinction of many species of plants, trees and birds.
Just perfect here for Easter 🐣, beautiful but tragic tale that mirrors to us what excessive use of natural resources can result in. Around 1200 A.D., their growing numbers and an obsession with building moai led to increased pressure on the environment. By the end of the 17th century, the Rapanui had deforested the island, triggering war, famine and cultural collapse.
This film is a lot shorter than the others. I wonder why? :P I'm just giving you crap. It's a 63 square-mile island! There can only be so much on a place that tiny! XD
Haha I tried to squeeze out a hour but I didn’t want to repeat stuff 😅 I was going to do just 30 minutes but I decided to add a little more 🗿 hope you liked it 😁
@@ScenicRelaxationFilms Absolutely. The music and visuals are always on point! 👌 (And it is what it is: It's not Patagonia (which is about a million km^2) or the US (which is even bigger at around 10 million km^2)!...)
I was fortunate to go there some years ago. It is surreal. Beautiful island. I guess it might have become a little bit more commercial now but I hope they haven’t over developed it. Brings back so many memories. Thank you.
wonderful ,finally a video of what is my vision of the beautiful landscape of Easter island . Volcanoes, large craters, caves, beaches, and for sure the welcoming inhabitants. This is exactly what people should discover when they go on the island.. It's an amazing video! Thanks, you did a very wonderful !😍🙏
What an amazing island. I wonder what it's like to vacation there. It certainly looks like you'd have the run of place. The shorelines are so impressive. I'm a sucker for cliffsides and coastlines. Thanks for sharing this corker sir.
Thanks so much brother! I think after a few days you’d know the island really well! The coastline combined with the Moai is pretty epic! 🗿🏝️ Got any travel plans for this summer?
Thank you for this wonderful video. How in the world did the ancient natives carve out, transport, and place such enormous monoliths like that without modern technology? Who did that and when? Amazing.
I see nothing but dedication and unity. If they were able to give shape, haul and erect these figures, I cannot imagine the unity they had in their communities gatherings, and family. Beautifully touching.
Is there no place that is off limits? Unbelievable. I'd never thought I would see something so magical. As usual, you manage to hit a home run. Thank you my friend for expanding my horizons.
