Let me put some questions to help me prepare my trip and stay. As for the accommodation, did you reserve it in advance or did that when you arrived on the island? Is the car the only vehicle that can be rented or is there another, for example a 4-wheel motorcycle? Does the rental of this vehicle have to be done in advance or can it be done directly on the spot? Is access to the tourist points free or is it necessary to purchase tickets to access them? Yes, absolutely. You can rent a bicycle and bikefrom Hanga Roa (main town in the south part of island) to Anakena Beach (north part of island) in about 16k (10 miles). If you want to loop the entire island, the distance is about 45 kilometers (28 miles). The roads are generally flat and paved with occasional potholes, so you should be ok. Have fun and good luck!
