This is a pretty popular market, so suggest you go early. By the time we left at 14:30, the line was quite long just to get in. The market itself is indoors, though there were vendors on the streets selling some food, ceramics, and other small items. They will have Sunday shopping on the 19th. Saw a small carousel farther down the street and the town was decorated too, especially the old town hall.
Huge parking lot next to the building where the Easter market was held this year. Trains are easy too, I took a direct train from Frankfurt that took about an hour and 10 min. Though Michelstadt is located in the Odenwald, it is still in Hessen, so you can use a Hessen ticket for this or a group day ticket from www.rmv.de
This is a beautiful, small town and a place to spend a weekend or just a day trip. Lots of great restaurants and the hotels looked charming.
