In this shedventure my dog and I head into some familiar and unfamiliar terrain. Some great sheds found and some new potential honey holes were discovered along the way. We sure put on the miles. Enjoy this video as Frank (my dog) finally puts it together and takes it to the next level of his shed hunting pursuit. #britishcolumbia #shedhunting #muledeer #labradorretriever #2024 #spring #blacklabs

Great video dude. The dog was awesome. What an area. The biggest hill we have here in southern Ontario is a garbage dump. hehe. Cheers.

Thanks! Haha I’ve been there it’s too flat for me. What do you shed hunt for over there? Moose and whitetail?

Nice job training your dog! I expect the ticks will be pretty bad once I finally get out to the interior.

Loved this! Do you find certain elevations are important for shed hunting? Been out in one of my spots today, tracks, poop, beds everywhere, but no rubs or sheds 🤔

I would say elevation matters to a certain extent. I would base it off of if you are in the winter range or not. I prefer the Old growth Fir trees with mixed in ponderosa pines. I would say in that sort of country you can find sheds in a wide band of elevation. Thanks for watching!

Found a whitetail antler and lots of skulls from deer/ one cow this year so far. Thanks for the video. I also carry a shotgun just in case I noticed you did as well. Do you bring gps?

Right on man, yea I keep it around for protection/ potentially taking a rabbit. I just use my phone for navigating terrain.
