It was a lovely sunny day so my wife and I decided to visit the Eastleigh Lakeside Railway, which is in Eastleigh Country Park and very near Southampton Airport and Southampton Parkway. The railway usually operates miniature steam locomotives and has a dual gauge track (7.25 inch & 10.25 inch).
The steam locomotive rostered when we visited was:
No: 2005 'Silver Jubilee' 4-6-2 10.25 gauge.
Back-up was provided by the diesel 'Uncle Jim' on loan from the Hastings Miniature Railway.
