I own an Eastman E6SS-TC and can honestly say it's beautifully crafted, sounds and plays superbly, the best guitar I could buy after trying over 30 different guitars from many brands over a month.
Hats off to the craftsmen and luthiers at Eastman! This is the way guitars USED to be made in the USA. Now most of them are made on CNC machines, not by hand like Eastman. I can hardly imagine the great things to come from this exciting company.
They still are idiot! Martin STILL makes there’s by hand in the USA using some of the same equipment they’ve had for over 150 years! And unlike this Chinese propaganda they’re worth something!
Beautiful craftsmanship! So impressive. My Eastman AC422CE is a gorgeous guitar and now I see why hat is. Kudos and much appreciation to all the talented souls working at the Eastman Factory.
I've been thinking seriously to buy an Eastman E20D, and this video has basically convinced me to buy one. I really appreciate basically everything about this video. Cheers. Virginia, USA
As an old guy looking for my last guitar, to play into retirement, my thoughts are, who knows if these lovely instruments will be affordable or even available a year from now?
Dana Bourgeois entered into a contract with them a couple years ago which speaks volumes. I don't think either one of them are going anywhere anytime soon.
With the way the world is going right now, you dont know which way the wind will be blowing next week. I totally understand. Hand made or not, if you can support American jobs. Or other musicians and buy gently used with love and care. Just get what you want if its your last and only one into retirement. Dont cut corners. Buy what you want for life. These are probably great for gigging players that dont want to take the expensive guitars out to gig. But you probably wont be doing that but occasionally. So get your dream guitar dont settle.
I wish Eastman would follow through on the Thermo cured tops as they promised at least a year ago or at the very least use an aged toner on there guitars
i would beware of eastman acoustic guitars i bought 2 one cracked my music dealer contacted eastman they replaced it now 3 years later the other one has cracked even larger than the other one .they are kept in a humidified room in the case .i think they dont let the wood cure long enough.i have eastman electric and semi hollow body with no issues but the acoustics were horrible its been 3 years so i think im out with no replacement on the second one i have many guitars and ukuleles ans mandolins eastmans are the only 2 that crack sad because they sound very good and play great also but not stable
Exactly! I seriously must wonder if that many people here are that stupid to believe these are worth what they cost or if they’re being paid by the Chinese government to praise this crap!
No thanks! I’d rather support American craftsmanship than give anything else to the Chinese to end up making quickly and cheaply as possible! Also there’s such a thing called resale value. An American Martin will always be worth something and it’s almost guaranteed to increase, these things you buy today will be worthless in five years at most!
