@@comicclass1749 The 2012 version has a lot of moments borrowed from original comics, remade under format of the animated series. For example, Shredder shrimp mutants, invasion of Krangs and Triceratons, the appearance of Fujitoid, story of feud between Hamato and Saki for Teng Shen, only in comics it was Oroku Nagi. And scene where Leo cuts off head of a Super Shredder in black and white style exactly repeats the moment from 21st issue of Eastman and Laird comics.
I did. Ahhhh memories, Nostalgia! Glad I grew up with that version so I could later discover where it all started even led to me wanting an r rated movie like so many others!
The man at the end of the City at War arc was the guy who lived in the apartment above the porn shop The Foot blew up in issue #50. Occasionally throughout the arc they show him recovering in the hospital, then finally finding a new home, possibly like a comparison for how the Turtles life was destroyed/blown up and they had to reset and recover.
The art and shading in this original series is amazing. I bought these as they came out when I was a kid and I was obsessed. My favorite comics ever. I love when they go to Japan.
I REALLY enjoyed this video. I knew the basic original story of The Turtles, and bits and pieces of _other_ portions, but mostly I'm more familiar with the 2003 iteration (which is my *FAVORITE* version of the _TMNT_ by _FAR)_ and some of the modern IDW lore. I actually grew up with the 1987 series; I was 4 years old at that time, but even as a kid I wasn't really satisfied with how _goofy_ and childish everything always was. I didn't understand why The Turtles were always SO "easy" on Shredder. Then when I was 20 years old, the 2003 series came out. I was a college student living in the dorms at that time, but I decided to give it a shot based entirely on how cool looking the trailers were, and how decidedly more serious and "darker" things appeared. But it was the "sneak peak" Fox Kids gave of the "new" theme song that REALLY sold me. The _"Watch out for SHREDDER!"_ in the theme song and seeing how truly menacing and scary this new Shredder was, instead of that whiney, goofy, Uncle Phil sad-sack from the 1987 series. I'm sorry...I didn't mean to ramble off with my life story like this! 😅 I just REALLY appreciate this video and the way the sections are broken down. It's interesting to me to learn that Karai wasn't _always_ the adopted daughter of The Shredder and apparently this was something (I guess) added by the 2003 animated series. Currently I couldn't imagine Karai as anything other than his dutiful daughter, but it's interesting to see she wasn't always such. I'm really surprised to see how little subs you have. You have great editing and seem like one of the larger more established channels. I really look forward to seeing more _TMNT_ content from you! 🐢
It would be awesome if about these Eastman and Laird's *"TMNT"* would make action-adventure beat 'em up game like *"Batman: Arkham"* series and *"Sifu"* in noir black/white style and with brutal fights in the dark surface of New-York
Ha and alsoI intend to change my commentary very often since I did not finish to put all the time code so that if I change my commentary your I intend to change my commentary very often since I did not finish to put all the time code so that if I change my commentary super like is going to disappear so I would like that every time that I add new information or that I correct myself in my commentary indicating the Time codes can you add a super like in case it disappears please
Should have slapped a basically before each of the time stamps, because that’s the most used word in the entire damn video. Dude needs to learn to right a script lmfaooo.
Dude right? I couldn’t even make it 5 minutes into the damn video before i had to just turn it off cause holy shit basically basically so basically and basically!!!
I basically knew the whole story already but basically I wanted to see the whole thing. Basically this video basically tells you the story basically from start to finish. Basically I basically basically basically so I pretty much basically basically basically.
I see you don't have that many subscribers and aren't getting a ton views but man keep it up. Videos like this take a lot of time & work and it has to get discouraging not getting the exposure and money equal to the amount of work you put in but I don't see any reason this channel can't be huge like Comics Explained some day. You're the only person I found breaking down this full run so thanks for that. You may also need a new mic for clearer sound but I also know nothing about audio.
I think the old man is meant to be the state of the city, it starts of eith him crying and an explosion which means the war is in full swing. Him surviving is the city holding on. He then slowly recovers alomg with the city as the turtles get closer to winning. Finally he is fully recovered in his new apartment where he is given a second chance at life. Just like how this city has a chance to now go on in peace this the story ends
Lol, this statement always makes me laugh. Their are 3 freakin movies coming out. Rise Movie, Seth Rogen movie and another one. Also, the last ronin was no.1 most sold comic book whenever a issue came out. The shredder's revenge videogame is trending with everyone loving it and even saying GOTY, and people keeps talking about Cowabunga collection even tho we are months away from its release. Also, TMNT 2012 is pretty recent. And better things came out after Mirage TMNT, for example IDW TMNT which is the definitive tmnt adaptation or Batman vs tmnt. Mirage tmnt is a big mess, 12 issue canon, 38 next issues filler, 12 issue canon. Volume 2 sucked, they even omitted and acted like volume 3 doesn't exist (for good reasons) and Volume 4 was another mess and it never continued since 2014. And I doubt it would ever do.
I feel like tmnt would have been dead if it wasnt for tmnt 2012.After that cartoon series.More tmnt live action movies, series, crossover etc. still going. And made the franchise more bigger than ever.So tmnt would have been dead like some kind of 80s product. But it is still going on thx tmnt 2012.
When my grandpa was in his 20’s he used to sell comics and he was at this con in Detroit where he was in a booth right next to Eastman and laired jeering the end of the event my grandpa had went up to go buy and issue of tmnt the first issue because he felt bad that they didn’t sell very many so he had one of the first issues of the tmnt comics but he unfortunately lost it it has been over 40 years
I’m planning to create my own fanmade adaptation. I will include as much as I can wherever I can. Some things adapted strait somethings changed to fit what I think would work better and wasted ideas taken to their logical extreme I’m just narrowing down storylines. Think of a story line I wanna adapt, look at any equivalent that might exist and just run with that shit Now I have no fucking idea what I’m doing. It’s probably just gonna be a fan art slideshow with voice acting all done by one person because I don’t have the talent or resources for anything else. Hell there’s no gaurenttee that any of what I’m saying will come to pass. I’ve also been sitting on my Spider-Man adaptation and my percy Jackson adaptation for years now. Who knows if I’ll actually create anything other than shitty texting videos Hell nobody reading this comment even cares.
Bruh you need to clean this up. Be more concise with your info, write a script if necessary. “Gaijin maybe Japanese for turtle”? research your source material. These things really bog down a video and break the viewers immersion.
And basically, And basically, And basically, so basically, basically, and basically, so basically, yea basically, and that’s basically it. Good lord expand your mental dictionary man holy shit.
