I feel this way. My husband died and I replay the day he died in my mind wishing I could bring him back. I remember after it happened just wishing my love was enough to bring him back to life. But no matter how many tears I cry or how my soul is torn in two, nothing brings him back.

I have loved this song from the beginning, it has a heartfelt meaning to me now, I lost my husband 12/19/2022 to cancer and to me, it means that I can't love him back to me.. Cherish every moment with love ones... We were shocked to learn of his illness and more shocked that he passed only 4 weeks from the diagnosis.. This song is a beautiful touching song.. I think this song has many interceptions to different people. My perception, is that maybe after all the heart ache and all of the things that a couple grows through, sometimes enough is enough. There can be so much potential, but sometimes that is not enough. Sometimes the past is just too great.

the hardest part of loving somebody is loving them even through seeing all the selfish decisions they've made that hurt you. as sad as it seems, that love never fades and when they're gone, it's like a bullet to the chest. i have found a girl to distract me from the pain, but that was like taking vicodin while i'm bleeding out. i later found a girl that helped me realize that things happen for a reason and sometimes we have to let go of the past so those wounds can begin to heal. i'm now married to the angel that god gave me and we have a beautiful little girl together.

It is hard , when you lose the one who holds your heart. I loved her from the first day I saw her an knew I could never be the one she wanted. I watched as she walked down the aisle to someone else wishing everyday it was me standing there waiting for her. She just can't love me back the same as I love her. I know this comment was made years ago but this song reminds me of my ex . my ex and I remained good friends he was always asking me 4 another chance but at the time I thought I didn't love him in the way he loved me, yes my type of love was different , way different than his, or so I thought. The last time I seen my ex he had ask for another chance & of course I told him no, then I told aka scooter that yes I loved him but it wasn't the same as his love was for me, he said well just thought I would ask so I went on telling him that day that my life would never be the same if I lost him , I told him that I never wanted 2 be without him because he was still a big part of my life & I'm glad I was able 2 tell scooter the things I told him because I lost my scooter three months later due 2 a major heart attack

My mom passed away rather suddenly at 89 when this song was current. We didn't really expect it because she was doing pretty well. I was with her the night before she died, around 7 pm I said I was leaving and going home, she said, oh, please dont go its early, but I did. I was tired. I had no idea I'd never see her again. Everytime this came on it tore me up. Still does.

I lost my dad to sickness on October 24,1994 on my youngest daughters birthday. It still feels like yesterday. You never know how much you love someone until they are gone. Happy Father's day dad up in heaven. I miss you buddy.

im so sorry, i cant imagine what you went and are continuing to go through. i will pray for you. my best friend just lost her dad the same way on Xmas eve. he was watching tv in the hospital with her mom all of a sudden he spit up blood looked at her and said im scared marsha. then he died in her arms, i cant believe this happened the same way and around the same time of year.

Easton's voice sounds so much like George Strait's to me, and believe me, that's a good thing!! I think he has a bright future in country music and I hope he keeps churning out quality music like this!!
