You are so right when you say you don't live in your house alone. My husband couldn't care less if everything is neat and tidy. Now he doesn't what to live in a pig sty either. I on the other hand like everything picked up and put away all neat and tidy. Thankfully my husband has an office and I rarely go in there. It's his and he can keep it the way he wants. We just keep the door closed LOL. Marriage is give and take. We can't have everything the way we want it and we can't except our husbands to live by our standards.

I love you peninsula kitchen! I think that is best kind of kitchen to have. We all need that kind counter space without cabinet above etc, great for baking too. People comment on my kitchen how big it is but really the counter space isn’t great, it’s all broken up into tiny spaces. No where to do baking! Lol

“And what do you do for a living Denise?” “Oh I’m a homemaker.” “Oh…(so you sit around at home all day in your robe watching soap operas). How nice!” My mother (and father, but you know… mom) raised 2 boys and one wild animal which would be me. My parents chose to go without a bunch of pointless junk that we could have afforded if mom worked and instead opted to have mom stay home and actively raise us. To be totally honest I ‘hated’ my parents on many occasions and I immediately would bring my complaints to management to which management would reply “I’m not your friend I’m your father and I don’t care if you’re right or not because your mother is right. Period. So now that we’ve addressed inhumane child labor laws, go finish the dishes. Wash the inside and outside of glasses and the front and back of plates, wipe down the sink and counters and sweep the kitchen and dining room then put your name on the list on the fridge.” I am confident now in saying that if you watched me clean my house and my daily maintenance routines you would think I was your protege Denise. I am now best friends with my parents and I tell them every time I see them that without their example and guidance I would be a train wreck. I just wanted to take a second to acknowledge you and mothers like you.

😅 Not to be rude or anything, but how dirty. Can you family room and your living room? Be when it's only you and your husband that you have to clean it up n the evening time and then turn around and clean it the very next day.
