Actually I love both of them, those ideas are so creative it makes myself to soothe my mind calming down creating those pumpkin decors for the falls,I'd like this creative idea. Thank you very much that really helps out a lot creating my first clay pumpkin. 😊
These are such fun Autumn decor crafts to do on the weekend. Thanks for the inspo! I gotta get me some air dry clay to play around with. Looks like it's fun & relaxing 🤗 Did you hot glue the cinnamon sticks for the pumpkins at the end?
They are the perfect Autumn crafts for relaxing! I always have such a good time working with clay, it's so forgiving. I didn't glue the cinnamon because they're pretty stuck in there, but you totally can to make them even more secure.
Wow Katie these are gorgeous 😍❤ I love the touch of gold too! The pumpkins are adorable! Thank you for sharing your amazing creativity with us all! God bless you abundantly in all things and much love from me too! 🙏❤😘🤗🥰
Thank you so much!! I usually use the generic craft store paint, I think the brand is CraftSmart. For the reddish color that I mixed in this time, I used a set from Castle Art Supplies which I found on Amazon.
Thank you! Yes this has definitely happened to me before and there are a few different reasons it can crack, at least that I've noticed. One is if the clay gets too dry in storage, so make sure to store it in a ziplock bag or a container that is airtight. It can also crack if too thin of a layer of clay is used. The thinner you roll it out, the more likely it is to crack as it dries. And then another reason would be adding too much water to it when working with it. You definitely want it to be slightly moist but not wet. Let me know if that helps!
Love these projects!!! I have to admit the clay colored leaf trimmed with gold leaf was my favorite😍😍😍😍😍 just the perfect amount of gold to make it stunning❤️ just curious how long did it take for the sweet pumpkins to dry throughly?? I would like to try some projects using clay, but I’m really not sure what kind of clay to buy… do you have to have a certain kind of clay to do molds…???
Thank you!! I'm so happy I finally tried the gold flakes, it really made the project complete I think. The pumpkins were dry to the touch after about 24 hours so that I was able to paint them. Since they were so thick, I'd say it took another day for them to be completely dry through the middle. I really like the Crayola clay because you get so much for the price point, but I've also used the Das brand of modeling clay and it's great to work with so I'd recommend that as well.
