Easy and cheap mop jigs for bluegill/crappie 

Love mop bugs. Never tried multi-color. Love fishing for big gills and crappie,so I will definitely give this a try.

Man's going after state record bluegills with a jig that big lol. My biggest gills tend to come in on size 10, 1/80 or 1/64 oz jigs. I don't usually go bigger than a size 8, maybe size 6 for bluegill.

Electric chicken with a LSU partner would be my go to. Thanks for technique.

That'll be a great crappie jig. Might be a little big for bluegill unless you're fishing places like Reelfoot where there are large blugill.

1/32 oz mop jig will get both crappie and gills i use yellow mop and i take 3 or 4 strands of peacock hurl and make a collar no need for a body tie tail almost to head of jig leave a small spot for a few wraps of hurl works awesome try it you will like it

been using mop jigs on the ocean perch here in central California (Momterey)

Hey Eric, thanks for all of the info. I just started tying and coloring my own jig heads. I did not know that super glue from the eyes discolored the green heads. After seeing you say that, and seeing that on my own jig heads, I now know. But your amazon link, UV flashlight is out of stock. So question is, do you have another uv light you suggest, and what is the best resin??

Have you tried using silicone wedge tails.

Were do you get your minnow jigs and your roundball jigs keep up the great work.

Where do you get your unpainted pill head jigs (without eyes)? I couldn’t find them on your Amazon store.
