With the entire country being in lockdown, it is very important for all of us as a nation to stay inside our homes and not go out. At this time we don't have the luxury of going out veggie or grocery shopping every day so it is very important to use food moderately and save up on ration. With this being said, there's always ways to incorporate more lentils, pulses and grains in our diet. Kala Chana Masala / Black Chickpeas Gravy is a recipe that tastes amazing with rotis, rice, puris, bread, etc. This is a dhaba style recipe which is really easy and simple to prepare at home and will have you licking your fingers. Ingredients -
Kala Chana/ Black Chickpeas- 1 cup
Salt
1 black cardamom
1 green cardamom
2 medium sized onions
10-12 cloves of garlic
1 inch piece of ginger
1 tsp cumin seeds/jeera
2 bay leaves
2-3 tbsp oil/ghee
3 medium sized tomatoes
1 tsp coriander powder/dhaniya powder
1 tsp red chilli powder
1/4th tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp kashmiri red chilli powder
1 tsp everest chhole masala (optional)
Salt
1/4th tsp garam masala
1 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
