Recipe for 23x23cm mold:
Apples:
Peel and grate 1,5kg of apples
50g sugar
1 vanilla sugar
1Tsp of cinnamon
Cake:
4 eggs
200g sugar
1 vanilla sugar
240g vegetable oil
265g all purpose flour
1 baking powder
265g milk
Mix eggs, sugar and vanilla sugar.
Add vegetable oil and continue mixing.
Add flour and baking powder and mix them in.
Add milk.
Pour one half of the mixture into the mold and bake at 180°C for about 20 minutes.
Transfer the apples onto the baked cake (first squeeze the excess juice).
Pour the remaining cake batter onto the apples and put back in the oven for another 40 minutes.
Leave it to cool down and dust with powdered sugar.
