This is not only my go to dessert for the 4th, but I love to make it during the summer using other fruit as well just because it's so refreshing. Happy July 4th My Beautiful Friends! This is a favorite here at home especially since it's usually only made during the summer. I love a great trifle and anytime I can pull out my trifle dish, I will. My vegetarian will be grilling for our little celebration on Thursday which I'm serving fresh corn on the cob and Asian cole slaw to go on the side. Homemade cherry limeade and a requested dessert of s'mores will be for dessert this celebration. Rachel, As soon as I saw this recipe, I made it for the 4th of July 2024! Very, very delicious and easy and perfect for the July 4th holiday. My daughter and I loved it, soooo much! Thanks to you and Blessings to you and ur family!
I'm English/Scandinavian. Your recipe is very similar to ours. We make our trifles very similar, but we add a layer of strawberry gelatin and vanilla custard as well as angel food cake and whipped cream. I use powdered sugar to our cream cheese. It's always a hit. Happy 4th to you and yours.

Yum! Looks beautiful. I make a similar variation using fresh peaches and very lightly brushing the pound cake with orange juice. Then at the top, layer with sliced roasted almonds and a few peaches in the middle. It is so delicious light and beautiful as well. I cant wait to try yours! Thanks for sharing! Happy 4th!

This one is especially unhealthful because she used Cool Whip which is basically Hydrogenated oil and HFC...UGH....sooooo bad for consumption. I would most likely use mascarpone cream instead. Happy 4th🇺🇸
@@d.martinez-rodriguez333Yep! Those trans-fats are heart killers and build up in the body. Stay away from Cool Whip, Crisco, and all margarines. (Butter is far better for your heart. The heart doesn’t know how to get rid of transfats.)
I have always made trifles during the summer months. Fruits are at their sweetest and juiciest. I love your idea of adding the chocolate chips. I usually use pecans.
