Don't listen to the people who complain about your talking. I love hearing you talk about your recipes and stories. Everything you talk about is what sets your channel apart from everyone else's. I love your cheerful personality.
Dear Chef Darren, DO NOT STOP CHATTING! People have lost the art of connecting with one another. Your talent, personality and experiences are how we communicate now electronically. Let us not disconnect. We all have to rediscover new ways of forming bonds with one another. We don't have to agree all the time, but it's important to perhaps listen.😊
I can't wait to make it! I wondered what you would use instead of eggs. I am also wondering if you can use the gelatin sheets? I've just never heard of the powder? Will be making it soon
From your lips to God's ears. I'm not particularly religious, but please accept the spirit in which it is intended. Your remark speaks right to how we can save ourselves and society from completely imploding in this new tech situation we find ourselves in.❤
Personally, I believe it's 10% about the recipe, and 90% about the chef. The manner in which you present yourself in your videos is an absolute delight, and I so enjoy listening to you talk. In every video you share tiny nuggets of wisdom, which you have learned during your decades of work, like for example your tip on how to quickly and simply line the bottom of a round baking pan. Your videos are an absolute delight, and I thank you for sharing them with us.
Oh dear sweet Chef, please don't take this the wrong way, we love your recipes, but we ADORE your story telling! The way your face lights up when you talk about your experiences brings us so much joy! You're so happy and this channel is like a warm hug to us all. We love you Chef Darren! Please keep the stories coming!
My life is stressful and I’m in a hard season. Listening to you chat about life and memories in your kitchen is an escape that I need. It brings me hope to dream and listen to you.
"I have told you these things so that in Me, you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world." - John 16:33 (Jesus speaking)
I made this recipe. It is divine. So very creamy and light. The pecans adding texture to the graham cracker base is delightful. The perfect balance of sweet and tart with the cheese mixture. And the Grand Marnier in the blueberry topping is perfection. My family thinks this is the best dessert ever. The problem is we can not stop eating it. ❤️❤️❤️ Thank you Chef!
@@AroundTheWorldWithEase He certainly is, but there are famous foods and pastries in the world and their creators remain anonymous. There are painters, writers, musicians, but in the field of gastronomy they are almost unknown. 🫥💔🇨🇱
I can’t stand the cooking videos that have just music, and no verbal instruction, or those that have music drowning out the verbal instruction. This recipe looks scrumptious! Thank you!
Dear Sir. Tonight was the first time I ever saw your channel. I find you so pleasing to listen to and your voice and smile are kind. I so very much appreciate your channel and your willingness to share all these recipes. I have met chefs' and so many are so prideful. Thank you for your kindness. I will watch all your videos now. With love from Alberta 🇨🇦
@@kasperthefriendlyghost8821 that’s not what my response was about really. I was responding to him mentioning that people had commented he should get on with it and not talk. What you are referring to concerns him mentioning many comments always ask him to post the recipe, he was reminding them it is always in or linked to in the description.
The method for getting a quick parchment paper to line the bottom of your pan was...absolute genius. Holy moly, my mind is just blown. I'm doing that every time for now on.
I liked the look of this cheesecake so much that I made it myself. I did not take a picture since it didn't look that good with the fruit I put on it. I used local blackberries, which are in season right now, made into a compote. The flavor of this dessert is absolutely incredible. I highly recommend this cake to anyone who loves cheesecake. It is so light and fluffy.
Did you find the quantities correct? In the video there seems to less cream and more gelatine. And mine did not set overnight. I've frozen it and I think it will make good ice-cream.
Who is insane enough to ask this treasure of a man to stop talking?? If someone wants to watch ASMR baking there are plenty of places, I watch him because of HIM. You want just want manicured hands and “aesthetic” (annoying term since it’s supposed to be aesthetically pleasing) lighting with foley sounds added by all means, plenty of other places. This man is a REAL baker, with real experience!! And people are so dim these days they can’t find their hind end with a bell on it.
That visual learner stuff has been debunked. We are all visual learners unless we have severe vision deficits. I thought I was a "visual learner" too but nearly everyone is.
@@mygirldarby When you are hard of hearing, your other senses have to kick in. Now, I depend on my eyes because the ears don't function as they should. Old age.
Hi Darren, pleeeease don’t ever stop talking while going through the process of your wonderful recipes. It would never be the same! Love your personality, character and listening to the priceless experiences, especially with regards to the Royal family! Take care and best regards, Rob.
I can't speak on THIS recipe, but I really like no bake cheesecakes. They are easier and I actually like the texture better. If you aren't sure about going to the trouble of making a no bake from scratch, there are some great store bought mixes that already have the gelatin (or other setting helpers) and you just add milk. I love the idea of adding pecans to the crust, I may try jazzing up a box mix like that. Using cottage cheese is a new one for me though.
Who doesn’t have a few minutes to listen to Chefs calming sweet voice? They’re missing out on some valuable cooking lessons 😊 keep talking Chef! Thanks for the recipe!
Love how the base has nuts - never though of adding them, great idea! I use labneh (strained yogurt, similar to greek but thicker and fattier at 18%) mixed with whipped cream - it comes out so thick (but smooth and soft) that i don't have to add gelatin. I make individual pieces in wide glass anything - jars, glasses etc
It’s hard to believe people can be so harsh, Chef! We love you and your stories - it completes the experience! Don’t change because of some unhappy souls.
You know what I’ve found, people that are so mean as to tell him not to talk are just miserable in their own souls. I just now found him, and I already love him.
@@agb0012000 It’s the stories and insight that drew me to his videos and it’s what makes them fun! There are plenty of cooking videos out there but not many that include a chef with Daren’s historic knowledge and charisma. I discovered him last year and got hooked! 🧑🍳❤️
I mostly watch this channel because I love to hear the stories of your time with the Royals while you cook. This is your channel. You do as you please Sir. This isn’t like your typical cooking channel. ❤ Hello from Australia.
I personally love listening to you talk while you cook, all your wonderful stories and memories of working for the Royal household! Don’t listen to the haters! ❤
Does that mean that you retired at Balmoral Castle ? I think this would be great. I ate many cheese cakes when I was in Edinburgh 40 years ago 😂 But never dared to do any. I am happy to benefit from the knowledge of someone reliable as you are. And thank you for being so positive and happy ❤❤❤❤
Chef McGrady, you’re an absolute treasure and I promise we all come and STAY because your lovely personality and wonderful stories. I’m so glad to have found your channel, you don’t need to change a thing!
Chef McGrady, I am so thrilled that I found your channel! You have such a gentle voice and made these instructions seem easy enough for me to actually make successfully and not another Pinterest cake fail! 😆
I LOVE HEARING YOU!!! I am from America but am of English and Welsh heritage. I adore learning and listening and talking. I learn so much this way!!! I LOVE YOU!!!!!
Beautiful, plump blueberries! When I saw the thumbnail image I thought they were dark cherries! I can imagine that the Royal Family were delighted with this one, Chef 👍
Some ppl are ignorant , they ask where the recipe cuz they don’t listen to the video to know it’s in the description … like if they don’t want to hear talking then just look up a recipe , there’s no need to be rude … love story telling keep it up your channel is great ❤️ much aloha
Hi Chef....Oh my if you could only hand me a slice of that through my screen. That looks so easy and yummy. Thanks for the recipe (yes it was in the description) Take care.
Good day, Chef. I just found your channel, by chance it popped up in my feed. Oh joy!! I’m so excited. I am a novice baker. I worked all of my life, single parent, so, I didn’t have time to bake. Now, I’m retired, and bake all the time. I think I missed my calling. Everyone loves my baking which brings me pure joy. I cannot wait to try this one. Thank you, Chef, for sharing this amazing recipe. Continue twaddling to your and our heart’s content, please. Hello from California, USA.
Fun! My no baker uses cream cheese, sweetened condensed mikl, canilla and lemon juice. This one looks fabulous with a different cheese and greek yogurt. Yum and thx for sharing.
My mother made a cheesecake similar to this one but she put pineapple chunks in it. It was my dads favorite dessert, he had it as his birthday cake every year!
I love this dessert. I think that this recipe looks light and delicious. The Royal family have great taste. I love how you added the pecans and lemon zest in the crumb.❤
This looks delicious! Thank you so much for sharing your recipes and your stories. The recipes always look good. But you telling your stories are the ingredient that make this channel so enjoyable.
My Mom, here in Illinois, USA made almost the same cheesecake when I was a kid. Cream cheese instead of cottage cheese in a 9 x 13 pan. Sometimes with berries, sometimes with some of the crumb base sprinkled on top. Always a delight, with a family of 8 we finished the pan every time.
Using cream cheese is how you normally make cheesecake but using cream cheese you have to bake it. His recipe is a no bake cheese cake which is different.
Blueberry cheesecake is my favorite! I can't wait to try your cake! I love hearing your stories and tips to help us bring the recipe together with the best results. Please continue you your stories, as they give us a wonderful and unique glimpse into the history of each recipe. That is something that you cannot buy. Thank you for sharing your stories with us.
It is! That’s clever on how to line the bottom of the spring form pan with parchment paper! Great way to use cottage cheese! Blueberries and that lovely cheesecake! ❤ yum!
