Repairing broken braille lines in a torn monofilament (mono) cast net is easy and does not require a cast net repair kit for the small nets we fling in pursuit of bait fish. There is a trick to getting the braille lines sized and I show how to repair a mono cast net and avoid the common mistake people make when doing cast net repair.

Another helpful video. I seldom have trouble with the Braille lines but the oyster rocks do a number on my netting. That is a pain to fix. Also, when a net is beyond going, cut off the weights and use for Carolina rigs!

I started using the weights last year. Shame I threw them out earlier!

Hope ya made it thru - Ian safe. Castanets can be serious work . I always add double weights to sink better
