I know you posted this two years ago, but I have a question. How do you dispose of the old brake fluid? I don't want to dump it down the drain or outside. Thanks.

Vlad, I was finally able to do this today after dealing with motive customer service over some quality issues with their product. Two observations / clarifications to your video: 1. Opening the bleeder value goes the opposite direction. The way you open the value is actually tightening the value if you are going off of the right rear tire. 2.) Both front brakes have an 11mm, not 12mm front value.

Yes, I'm aware. That clip is flipped, which is why its backwards. Thank you for the additional information.

Can this be done without removing the wheels?
@joshuamoore24_7

A person pumping the brakes up and holding the brake pedal down works also. The reservoir has to be topped off each wheel.

I was thinking of showing that method as well, but sometimes good and competent help is hard to come by. Haha

I'm glad I watched this. I would have snapped my bleeders off! I never knew they were left-hand threads on the bleeders. Thank You!
@thisguyvlad17
@thisguyvlad17 2 года назад
Thank you for pointing that out! Seriously! They actually aren't left handed. I didn't even realize it during editing, but some of the footage is flipped. Due to me forgetting to film the correct side. They are standard, right to tight and left to loosen.

@@thisguyvlad17 Lol! I figured that. Was just messing with you. I almost pointed out that you wrapped the pipe tape around the fitting the wrong direction, but I thought that may be a bit petty. .Haha!

If you do it empty the master cylinder with a turkey baster and perform the flush, will your method still get most to all of the old fluid out? How much does the cylinder and lines need from a fluid perspective?
@thisguyvlad17
@thisguyvlad17 Год назад
Yeah you'll still get most if not 99% of it out. Fluid amount hard to say.

Do you have to empty the master cylinder of the old brake fluid, before connecting the pump?

You can and then fill it with the new fluid.

Uhm, you put the teflon tape on the power bleeder adapter on backwards. should be trailing the direction of tightening.

Vlad, what year is your GC? I ask because I am having issues with getting the cap on the reservoir.. Mine is a 2019. I’m hoping Jeep didn’t change reservoirs, which I doubt.
