Kathy, I am SO HAPPY to hear that! I’m so glad you liked it! Thank you so much for coming back to tell me! I appreciate that so much, and thank you for making my day! 😀
Made this yesterday. I brought the loaf to dinner, and everyone thought it was great! I used raw honey, and you could taste it in the bread! I think this will be awesome in a peanut butter and honey sandwich!
Thanks for absolutely making my day! I’m so glad you made it and that it turned out so well. I guess I better get my bread maker out and make another loaf today because now you’ve got me craving a peanut butter and honey sandwich on it!
Hey Earl! Are you making this? It does smell amazing, doesn’t it? I love the way my entire house smells when I’m making homemade bread! Thanks for watching!
I made this recipe this morning, and it was (is) delicious! It came out soft and light, and so much better than any store bought loaf ever could. At least in my opinion. I plan to make it again! Thank you for sharing this recipe.😊
Fantastic! I’m so glad it turned out and you’re pleased with it! That really makes me smile. Thanks so much for coming back to let me know. I appreciate it!
You are so lucky! What a good son. We used to raise bees, but found them more challenging than our cows, goats, horses, sheep, chickens, and rabbits! Take advantage of that honey, the prices are crazy lately! Thanks for watching :)
I just tried your recipe and it turned out fantastic! I use agave instead of honey, and it still was really tasty! Thank you so much for sharing your expertise.
Thanks so much for this recipe. I lost the manual for my bread machine. I haven’t had any good recipes for my bread machine. This looks just perfect. Can’t wait to make it you make it look so easy. I’m sure it will be once I get used to it. Thank you again.
You’re so welcome Judy! I hope you love it! It really is easy and so enjoyable once you get the hang of it and have a recipe you like! Thank you for watching and commenting! I hope your honey white loaf turns out great in your bread machine!
That’s awesome you’re making this today!! I hope you like it! It is a great loaf of bread!! Thanks for trying so many of my recipes! That makes me so happy!😀
Hi Joanne! Yes, if you want to bake this bread in the oven, bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. I do that a lot and it turns out fantastic. Thanks so much for watching and asking!
No need! They all get mixed together immediately after. Keeping the yeast and salt away in bread making is more important when proofing yeast, which we don’t have to do in this recipe, or if you’re going to use the delay start function, which I don’t recommend for this bread since it has milk and butter in it. I hope that helps! Thanks so much for watching and asking!
Hi there from across the pond, this bread looks amazing and can’t wait to try it😋 Two quick questions, is this a 2 pound loaf and for plain bread is it possible to replace the honey for a couple of tablespoons of sugar or would that affect the density too much as just love how light and fluffy this loaf looks in the video.
Hi there! Thanks so much for watching way over there! Yes, this is a 2 lb loaf. If you want to use sugar instead of honey, you’d need to increase the liquids to get your ball of dough the right consistency, but I’d suggest making this recipe instead: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-XUze_lV9sww.html It was my very first RU-vid video so sorry about the quality but it’s my very favorite bread machine recipe! It uses sugar and is so light and fluffy. It’s the best. Or this one uses that same recipe and I make it totally in the bread machine and also using the dough cycle and bake in the oven: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-6v70fzM3dBs.html I think you’ll really like that recipe! Thanks so much for watching! I appreciate it!
@@RobynOnTheFarm thank you so much for the quick response 😊 just going to try it now and will let everyone know how it goes. You have a new subscriber ❤
I have not used self rising flour in my yeast breads, so I’m not sure, but I don’t recommend it. Self rising flour is flour + another leavening agent (usually baking soda or powder), and this recipe calls for yeast as the leavening agent, so if I had to guess what would happen, I’d guess the 2 leavening agents working together would make the bread over rise, then collapse. Usually self rising flour is used in things like biscuits, cornbread, and quick breads. I’d only recommend all purpose or bread flour for this recipe. Thanks for asking! I hope that helps!
That will work just fine! A little sweetener like honey or sugar will help activate the yeast, and 1/8 to 1/4 c of honey will be plenty. Your bread just won’t have a more definite honey flavor. Good luck! I hope your bread turns out great! Thanks for your comment and for watching!
@@RobynOnTheFarm Thanks so much for your reply. I have a more a savory over sweet kinda palette, but want a good loaf of sandwich bread without all the refind sugars. Thanks again for your reply!!!
You’re very welcome! It is so nice to be able to bake your own bread and use honey to have a healthier bread without the refined sugars. That will make you a great sandwich loaf! Happy baking!
@@RobynOnTheFarm Hi Robyn. I have one more question, if I am using honey instead of sugar, when would I add that to the bread machine? Would it be when you would put in the sugar, (on top of the flour)? or add it to the liquids? Thanks so much
@@yvettethomas5533 Hi Yvette! When using honey, add it with the liquids in your bread maker pan before you add the dry ingredients. I hope that helps! I just now saw your question, hopefully it isn't too late to help you!
Add about an 1/8-1/4 of a cup more flour until it isn’t sticking to the sides and bottom of your bread pan while it’s kneading, or you could reduce the amount of water a bit. Hope that helps!
