I have a real brick wall in my home. It's almost one hundred years old and it crumbles. To keep the dust to a minimum, I sealed each brick with a clear matte sealer. Not the grout, just the bricks. Then I sourced an abstract earthtone figure canvas print from Salvation Army and hung it on the wall. It is the first room downstairs and really makes a statement. It's also where I sit when I'm watching tv and folding laundry!
Nothing better than coming home fixing a cup of coffee and watching your video. I am trying to get this tiny home pulled together. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with all of us.
I just ordered that beautiful Castlery boucle accent chair thanks to you. I’ve been searching high and low for a affordable good, quality, stylish modern chair. You are truly amazing to learn from. Thank you for being you and sharing all that you do. I’m pretty sure my fiancé hears me mention your name on a daily basis right now while I binge your videos. Thanks to you, it’s paying off tenfold as we redecorate our home.
As you may remember, I love the fact that you included the brick into the overall decor so that is definitely my favourite tip. Sharing how you started with a rug that pulled the brick shades and had a nod to the past as does the brick, and then layered in a few additional subtle pieces that repeated that concept. Really enjoyed this style of video where you dissected your thought process in the staging of this gorgeous space, allowing people to take the commentary and think how they can apply it to their own homes and styles.
I like the idea of keeping a book open! How inviting for others to take a look. But also to flip it open to different pages everyday for a new pic when you walk by. A different piece of art. Love the bedroom on the Ty Pennington project. You do a fantastic job! ❤
Beauatiful job on the Ty Project - thank you for all you do & your bright pleasant spirit. I always look forward to you & Jack as well when he is on. ❤
I love how you’ve incorporated the outside items into your home such as bringing in greenery and that bowl that had aged from sitting outside into the project you were doing, it looked perfect, you’ve taught me so much about interior design and keeping it simple which is how I love to style my home, Congratulations on coming up to 350k subscribers, you deserve every one of them and more, I get excited to wake up to one of your videos. Cheers from Queensland Australia 🇦🇺❤️❤️
Hi Valentina, I so look forward to all your videos. I have used so many of your ideas. Thank you so much for sharing them. I do want to ask you about all the live greenery you bring inside of your home. What if anything do you do to ensure no bugs are on them? Excited to see your next video. Take care, Diana
I have been watching you for awhile now, I have been doing everything you just talked about, LOL, I learned alot of it from you, some I already knew. The new to me thing because of you is I have been doing the repeat throughout my new home, black and white paint is just amazing it is bringing my whole house together so beautifuly. Stay safe out there, sending love from Ankeny, Iowa. Keep up the great work, us fans are enjoying what you do.
Your house is so beautiful. I would love to see how your living room looks if you invert accessories placing the white vase over the fireplace and the 2 black accents over the table. I think it would look even more fantastic
Ooo - love the fire and that glowy golden light in the background! In addition to what you discussed here, this video is a great object lesson in thinking about lighting and paint colors since it looks like the clouds were covering and revealing the sun throughout the video and really changing the look of the room.
Please do a video where you talk about your white Article sofas and your experiences with them, how you take care of them, any spill accidents or incidents of dark clothing or jeans bleeding onto the fabric. Do you let your family sit on them? 😂😅 what are the products if any that you use or recommend to care for them? What do you love about them, are they comfortable, and would you buy them again? And of course any other details you can share. 😊😊♥️🙏
Great video Valentina thank you and I love your fashion channel too. Could you please do a video on painting woodwork, doors and ceilings please? What colours to choose etc?
I like the "high/low" look which I consider the same as "old/new". Reclaimed wood engineered flooring with modern white full length drapery and some nice large faux flowering tree branches mixed with faux flowering plants. I also prefer the platform type bed,, not a fan of the giant, climb-up beds like hotel rooms. .I collect art books so it's really easy to leave those open!
Thank you for sharing your designer tips and tricks with us. I love to use faux plants in my home; they don't require watering and don't have pest problems. I also like to repeat art work; it might not be the exact work used repeatedly but very similar. Missed Jack today, he was probably cleaning the side yard. ☺
Thank you for another inspiring video.... i use a mix of faux and real plants as well... because of my pollen allergy real flowers are not always an option... that said... if you're willing to spend a little more you can find some really good faux plants that easily pass for the real thing
Hi Valentina, my biggest question is how do you know when a space is finished??? I've been attempting to do some things in my home (after a huge renovation) & idk. It just doesnt feel finished. Help! 🤗
