You are awesome you demythed the most messy part of clutch plate change (soaking them) thats indeed messy thank you for that detail you shared with us so worth the time watching you!
Great video. I rode my wr250r and almost at the top of the hill I lost all gears. Even thou I could change gears and you can see that the neutral light is changing with the gears but no gear is engaging. Is it that the clutch is burnt? Thanks
I've noticed most people running stock Yamaha clutch replacement parts and that's my intent when needed. Is there any advantage to "upgrading" to some other brand?
It all comes down to personal preference, aftermarket is a great option if you are on a budget and they are still great quality as are genuine parts! 👌🏼
Hello I have an issue on my 2005 Yamaha wr 450f it’s not bogging at all but when accelerating the power disappears and.comes back its like a lag or a jerky motion in all gears it’s really not great any one have any ideas 😅
Hand strength training works best, honestly... get one of the little grip strength trainers and use it when you're watching TV. I do this in the off season and can 1 finger the clutch on my 2016 WR450F on 4 hour hard enduro rides.
This is fairly standard for most bikes, there is quite a lot of resistance even with the clutch engaged. If you are ever worried you can always take your bike down to your local mechanic and get it checked out!
