I’m with you. It’s all about convenience. I start with frozen corn and also add lemon pepper to cup besides the other items. Guess what I’m having for dinner?
White boy over here. In the past a lazy snack for me in the past was a can or corn microwaved with butter, salt, and spices. Glad I found this video. Lol looks much tastier
I love that you’ve been uploading a lot more videos. You are my go to mamá for simple yet scrumptious recipes for my family. Thank you for keeping my household diverse and authentic 🖤
I do not own a microwave but I am all for simple. Love corn in a cup also. Tajin is a good spice brand and I am sending some to my Filipina friend since it is a spice blend they would enjoy in the Philippines. Usually, send a box twice a year of interesting things I can only find in the Americas.
Hi from New Zealand, where we are free of Covid, with no social distancing, so we get can get together as we wish, and this evening I am attending a Mexican themed family meal, and I recalled the wonderful corn in a cup I had in Mexico so thanks! _ I will make this now and we will enjoy for sure _ Cheers Simon
😮 Oooh no roasted corn 😮 I like the recipe mama and as for the chillie my wife won't put that... possibly the other, lol she's just getting to the start of Mexican food.. she likes tamales with just a little bit of spice.. but not too much though.
😇 Thanks for the recipe. I do not have Tajin chili lime seasoning in my area so substituted it with Honey Sriracha seasoning. Mexican Corn Side Dish Can of corn 1 diced jalapeno 2 tablespoons mayonnaise 2 tablespoons sour cream 1 tsp lime juice 1 tsp chili powder Dash of cayenne pepper 1/4 cup cheese cilantro
I only buy corn in a cup from one place here in Houston, because of the hot sauce they use. I can't ever find a good hot sauce that goes on corn at the store. I hate Valentina. It's just...yuck. Any suggestions?? Also, where is the lemon pepper? Lol
DELICIOUS!!! Question.. that hot sauce does not look like valentina at all!!! valentina looks more orange and runny.. having said that, that hot sauce looks amazing. Maybe is just the angle or the light. Can you confirm that it is indeed valentina? cause if not, i would love to try it!
That spice you use has lime in and it's too bitter for me. So like you said I hit it with the red hot pepper some paprika a lil corse black pepper then for my garnish sliced jalapeno's maybe some sriracha....mmmmm but I really love it on the cob off the grill
Putting canned corn (or any food for that matter) in a microwave is not efficient based on the fact you cannot regulate temperature to all parts of the food. Microwave will make the middle hot while the outer sides won’t be as heated. Just a pro tip from a random internet guy… Who knows how to cook.
I don't know if this will be seen, since the video has been up for so long, but, I'll try! You mention the hot sauce is Valentina, but it looks different to me. It's usually more on the orange side. Could it just be the lighting or angle? Just curious, as it looks good!
Being Mexican we are pressured to make fresh ingredients or else you are considered lazy. 😩 Honestly I don’t care, if one day I’ll go the extra mile then I will. If I don’t then I doubt anyone will notice it lol. Either way it’ll taste good
A co-worker gave me this recipe many many years ago and actually I recently bought some tahin again and made this exact thing minus the extra lime and hot sauce. Oh yes I do use the parmesan cheese though.
I love watching different recipes for corn in a cup! I like this version and I also have one of my own because of the region I am from. And my uncle is a street corn vendor in Mexico. He uses the white corn and I actually found some frozen bag ones. He mixes his powder chili with lime and the paste it creates is super delicious. Top that with some Mexican table crema, butter, and shredded panela cheese. Super good! He actually carries around the mayo and tajin since people do ask for it. Thank you for sharing super delicious!
Angelica, we use our microwave all the time!!!! So quick and easy. You don't need to give anyone excuses......but we know people can be mean with their comments. This recipe looks FAB!! We are gonna try it! YUM
Mama this is amazing recipe and love it. Thanks for your time....Just wondering can you post some simple Mexican recipes like tacos, burritos, posoles etc which don't take much time porfavor? .....The country where i leave, i don't get spanish foods that much and am just longing for Mexican foods. Thanks.
