I loved making this hat! It took a few days and some effort, but I followed you exact, except I used a 4 weight yarn and it turned out PERFECT! Thank you for always being so clear and concise. I've learned so much! I have front and back posts down now! 😊

Persistence paid off!! After making this hat 3x's and unravelling each time because of size here is my success story. I used 6.5 mm/6mm with 8 puffs to start...way to big. Then 6mm 8 puffs to start...still to big. Then 5.5 mm/5mm 8 puffs to start...better, but still to big. Finally I went with a 5mm/4.5mm with 6 puffs to start and it fits perfectly. Loved the hat so much I wanted to succeed...persistence paid off.

I love your tutorials. The hat took longer than other hats but worth it. Beautiful. I used a 4 weight yarn. The 5 bulky I had was too thick and stiff. Wasn't loose enough for the "sliuch".

Ok I'm fairly new here....maybe a few months I'm Nicole/ Nickie nice to meet you. Also put a draw into a couple give aways and IV watched alot of the tutorials and of course you make them look so easy but this kinda slouchy hat iv been wanting to make so this is my 1st attempt at one of ur tutorials!!! making your hat as i write in a nice bone color, ill be adding two skull eyes in black as my daughter wanted it to look like a skull eating her head for some reason? love the tutorial! clear and quite easy to follow along with. great for a newbie like me and i thank you for the lesson! lovely videos like yours have taught me crochet and i couldn't be more pleased with the knowledge you've given. i crochet on the bus on my way to work and i couldn't tell you how many times little kids who see me seem to be SUPER interested in what I'm doing! at first i was a bit taken aback by their interest but then i remembered watching my great grandmother knit and thinking she was the most amazing person to create wonders with minimal tools (a couple of sticks, yarn and the fastest hands this side of the Mississippi! ) and i remembered the magic. thank you:-*

Very nice hat, dressy or casual depending on color (the dark yarn reminds me of a bed cover my mom made me many years ago. She used broomstick lace pattern in black and could only work during daylight hours.). This hat you have made seems to be a fun and easy make. I can't wait to get started on one. Thank you Crystal.

My 1st slouch hat my hat starts off multi color that was given to me middle is white end is purple back post front post was not my favorite but I got the hang of it this hat work up fast although not perfect it does look like Ur hat a gift for my daughter in Washington state thank you kystral love Ur teaching patients I've made several of Ur projects Luv them thanks again I made my 1st slouch hat😊

Hi Crystal! I just finished making this hat. its cute but only problem is it came out sooo big its big enough to fit a giants head. I followed along with the video and used a medium 4 weight acrylic yarn. Im going to have to try again soon. Im just trying to figure out what went wrong🤔

Oh my gosh, oh my gosh! Chris Sanchez here....REAL Peaches and Cream!?! Oh my gosh, oh my gosh! I've been hoarding the last of my stash of that wonderous cotton. It hasn't been the same since they sold out to the Canadians and the Canadians shut the fields and the mill down. It used to be looooong staple cotton, grown right here in the South. Now, it's short staple cotton grown in Canada. Just does not compare!

It came out huge! And took a lot of yarn . I should have done less stitches but now I don't have the heart to undo it.

Yeah! I agree. It's probably better to use a lighter or brighter colored yarn rather than a darker colored yarn because it's kind of hard to see what the stitches look like. The yarn you were using was nice and I love the colors but I think it might be easier for people to see what you're doing if you're using something lighter or brighter.

I finished this hat and loved it....however way to big. Ripped it out and used a size 6mm and 5.5 much better. Easy to make in less than a day. Great gift.

Does fiber content matters? I have 100% wool size 5 yarn and as i am following it feels kinda stiff. Maybe because its wool not a blend? Should i try 3 yarn overs to form puffs instead of 4?

Made the hat, but it turned out to be loose on my head. I used chunky yarn and a 6.5mm needle and 5.75mm. How can i fix it to be tighter.

I've never thought about starting a hat with a puff stitch from the top down. I thought it would be easier to make a band. Then connect it. The puff up to the way to the top.
