I've been crocheting for over 5 years and have struggled making anything other than blankets and scarves. I can't believe I actually made something else. This video was so informative and easy to follow. Thank you so much for uploading this.
You’re welcome Isabella, that’s what I’m here for 😊 The only think between a blanket project and and garment project is a little confidence. Once you’ve got that, you’re ready to take on anything 🙌🏼❤️
I'm so excited to make this I made the crochet bag for beginners from 3 yrs ago and used it at the beach it's perfect to put towels extra set of clothes. Thankyou for your video Chris from SW MI!
That’s awesome Chris! Thank you. They’re super handy, mine mostly just hold more crochet wips but I hope to test it out at a beach someday 🤣🙏🏽Keep up the great work ❤️
I've been looking for a pattern exactly like this one for months and made this bag last night! It was a very quick workup and it is exactly what I wanted. Your explanations are so easy to follow! I'm going to experiment with different strap designs and line mine with fabric as well. Thank you so much!
Thank you, glad you found the one you where searching for 🙌🏼 I have some lining tutorials on the channel as well, and probably a few strap variation ideas as well. You’re welcome, thanks for watching, welcome to the channel 🙏🏽😊
Wan, you are so cheerful and totally adorable on all your videos! Watching your video truly makes my day. Thank you for sharing your crochet talent and ideas with the world. Aww thank you so much 😊 You just made my day ❤️ It’s a pleasure to share with you, I appreciate the kind words and the support. These are the comments that keep my spirits high when I’m struggling with my latest pattern, which is almost everyday! 😂Thanks again for joining me on the journey. Cheers X
I can rely on your patterns being pretty and useful. I need to find this yarn to try. It appears easier to use than most cottons I've worked with. The color you've chosen is perfect for the bag. I don't usually prefer multi colored yarn because it makes a haphazard pattern, but this has a natural look and pleasing to the eye. Thanks Wan. This will be fun to make.
I can always rely on you for such thoughtful comments Mary Jo! It’s a really easy cotton to work with, Lily sugar n cream is pretty classic. I agree, the color turned out super subtle. Hope you enjoy, love to hear your feedback ❤️🙏🏽😊
Thank you for this beautiful pattern. I forgot to make gauge, my bag ended up half the size of your bag. Its like a mini version. I don't hate it but its too smoollll 🤣
Lol, that’s a bummer, sorry to hear that. That’s why I always remind people to make their gauge, it’s the worst to get through a project and see it’s not the right size after all that work. It’s great experience though, and a great excuse to make another one.
I haven’t crocheted since I was a child, but want to make this bag to use to store a knitting project in. I can’t tell from the video but the opening looks quite narrow and am wondering if it might be difficult to get a bulky knit in? Thank you, the video is very clear and your instructions are great!
I have a question!!!!! So when your doing rows 8-whatever, um is it supposed to stay flat or curve in or build up like in the video bc mine is staying flat and idk if i`m doing something wrong or if it is my yarn or like trust the process bc idk soooo.......HELP!!!!! Plz.
Thank you for another great explained tuto! Although I am on another project, I was so curious to get started on this one and lucky to find same yarn at Amazon! One little bother: although I did everything same as you explained, right number of hook, stitches, rows… my second yarn ball is gone and I have not even finished first strap 🤷♀️ Lucky I could re-order 1 another ball … impatient to finish it! Greetings from Germany - Gitte
Hi Gitte, you’re welcome, happy to share with you. You likely crochet quite a bit tighter than I did, did you make a gauge swatch before stating? Glad to hear you’re enjoying it and you rolled with it, good luck with the finish!
I love to make one for me but the Yarn you use is hard to find here. Do you have alternative yarns that are close to the one you use? Your suggestions are highly appreciated. Thank you so much. excited to make this bag.
Love this tutorial! Seems easy and straight to the point and this boho bag is just what I’m looking for 😊. Question: why the cotton yarn? Does this hold up better? I’ve never made a bag but from other videos I’ve notice people use acrylic I think I may try cotton I have a bunch but just curious as if it is better for bags? I’m still learning my different yarns also 🙃
Thanks! I prefer cotton as it doesn’t stretch like Acrylic. I generally prefer natural fibers, for a bunch of reasons but they’re generally more durable in the long run and they don’t sag and stretch as much as acrylic. I honestly think people use acrylic because that’s what’s cheapest, which is perfectly fine too. I’ve tested everything to the max though and that’s what I like to use.
@@KnitcroAddict okay! Thanks so much for responding! I look forward to trying some of your tutorials. I even added u on Instagram! Ima tag u when I finish something 🙃❤️
I have just finished making it with Aran acrylic yarn and a 6mm hook. It came out very well, but I haven't used it yet. I am going to make another in a different colour with slightly long straps, but still using acrylic as I have enough to do it. 🇬🇧🍀
if you add more rows to the bag part does that mean that the straps would have space between them as opposed to starting at the stitch right next to it?
Hello! I am trying this at home currently. And I’m on to the 5th round. My circle is looking more like a flower and not like a bowl shape like yours, is there anyway to fix this? Do I need to redo the whole thing? And can you explain why?
I love bag I make for my ❤️❤️❤️ I have the same cotton for a long time saved and now is the perfect time to use it thanks I love your tutorials I love how you explain 🫶🫶🫶
