EASY CROCHET TWIST HEADBAND / GRIT STITCH

Loved the pattern and the texture it creates. I started with an even number and did not end with a half double crochet in Row 1, so I believe you do need to start with an odd number of chains in order to end with the correct stitch. Hope this helps anyone that may have come across this issue.

Hi! I am brand new to crochet and have been teaching myself through RU-vid videos, including yours! I just started two weeks ago and have already made several small projects including a scarf and baby blanket. I just completed making this headband in a charcoal gray color for my mom to match her new coat. It turned out so beautiful for my first try! It was so easy but looks like I put a lot more effort into it than I did. I will continue making these in other colors for other friends and family. I did about 21 inches to give myself more room to sew the ends together a little lower. These would be cute for my nieces, but I will have to play around with the measurements a bit. This stitch would be nice for other projects, as well. I love the texture! Thank you again for your very informative videos.
