A tutorial I think a ton of modelers would love is how to load sound files on a new blank decoder. You have a great way of simplifying processes and think a lot of people would benefit from it. Thanks for taking the time for us all.
Hello josh! Three things, number one your video is great I am working on a model my self and this will help a lot. Second would you mind doing a tutorial on custom sounds for esu decoders because I would love to get some great sound files I have onto a locomotive. Third, can you also do a video on installing dcc in a older Athearn locomotive, I know you like the newer locomotives but I think have extra help from you would be better than trying to do it myself. I know this was a lot but keep up the great work!
older athearn locomotives use an 8/9 pin harness so a tsu-2200 or esu 58420 would make ideal drop in replacements…i’m one to rip the bulbs and replace them with leds though. custom esu sound tutorials exist like one from scl3618
@@nsmodeler24 what's tinning them? I'm doing a Athearn Genesis SD60E next week with a soundtraxx decoder and scale sounds speakers (2 of them). I've ordered the decoder and speakers already. Do I need a wiring harness or wires? Also, will I need resistors for the leds already on the loco? It's a soundtraxx TSU-21PNEM8.
Would be interesting how you Programm all the speeds etc. that you can run double/triple etc tractions without the trains pushing or pulling each other
Im trying to model ns diesels and I want to put loksound into genesis models as well. Are the dcc ready models set up to have flashing ditch lights or does that have to be programmed or wired?
+NSmodeler24, I have a question related to stripping paint from a model. I am going to put a CSX boxcar logo paint job/decals (tan colored paint and black CSX lettering) on an HO Scale covered hopper that is currently painted gray with an ADM logo and reporting marks on it. To repaint the model, should I paint over what is already on there or strip the original paint from it?
This is very helpful and makes it much easier to figure out how to install these decoders and speakers. Thanks for sharing! What impedance and wattage do you recommend for these esu decoders?
Hey Josh, I've got the (MTH-HO Scale) 80-2026-0 CN/Canadian National (SD70M-2) Road #: 8000 DCC-Ready/Non-Sound. I'm working on doing a complete body swap to a NS-SD70ACe body and also want to put DCC Sound decoder in it too. I was wondering if u could lend me a hand on finding a full decorated NS SD70ACe, options on DCC Sound Decoders, speaker, custom led lights, and also Decoders I can upload custom sounds, etc. Any help or options that u could give me for this project?
Thank you so much for this I've been thinking about converting my Locomotives to DCC with me having the 3 Locomotives with DCC this really was something I needed
