I was just at the home gardening center and there were a ton of butterflies and bees. It’s spring in Las Vegas now. So beautiful. And Nina can create springtime in her crafting garden. Very beautiful also. Love the video.
Your tutorials are fabulous as you not only give instruction on the project but add in endless tips throughout. Can't wait to watch more of your instructional videos! TFS! Definitely a "thumbs up"!
Love them. When my mom passed away I managed to latch on to stamens that she used when she made flowers. I think those would work just fine instead of wire. Thanks for sharing.
Wow...these are so pretty. Since they are cut out in the end, I wouldn't need to be so careful about coloring around the edges. Thanks for the great idea.
I love bright and vibrant colors. I am going to play with pearlescent watercolors, and splatter with watered down acrylic paint. I hope my attempt works out. I have never been a butterfly person, but these are cute and colorful enough to interest me. Thank you for the beautiful idea.
+Monica Eggleton Thanks for your kind comment Monica. I'm so glad this has inspired you to give it a try. They'll be lovely with pearlescent watercolours. Have fun creating! 🙂
I really like butterflies, wonderful job. Like your concept of doing lots all at the same time for future projects. Love the way the colors blend. I would never thought to add splatters at this point, it adds so much.
+Monica Eggleton Thanks Monica. Mi had so much fun making these. I got the idea from Craft Stamper magazine and just had to try it. I'll definitely make more when I run out. Butterflies are so versatile.
Gracious, aren't absolutely stunning! When I saw the first image & how GORGEOUS these are, I was *certain* they were created through an elaborate process I'd *never* be able to replicate. Imagine my surprise & excitement when I realized: A) I have ALL the supplies (even the jewelry wire & pliers!) B) The steps weren't at all complex or intimidating- HOORAY! I recently discovered your channel & find your creativity inspiring & your cheerful demeanor uplifting. I'm TRULY grateful to you for sharing your time, considerable talent, & lovely soul with us all. With gratitude, Becca in Alabama, USA
I am also a butterfly lover - I have a box full as well! AND I will be adding to that box with some butterflies made using your method shown on this video. Your video is nicely edited, your instructions clear and concise. I'm saving this pin on my "Butterfly" Pinterest board! Thank you!
Oh these are so lovely, thanks for sharing how to do them and with inexpensive products, they are so pretty they are making me smile! Thanks Nina, I always enjoy you videos, hugs.
Wow! I honestly think this is the BEST idea I have ever seen for making your own butterflies. I've been looking EVERYWHERE for a good DIY butterfly to use in journals and elsewhere, this is it. I think a coat of clear nail polish will go on and very possibly some super fine glitter, just a hint of sparkle. I absolutely love these. Thank you so much for sharing. 😀
oh Nina these butterflies are beautiful. Thank you so much for explaining all the different possibilities - some items i have and some i don't have - and i have some items that i don't know how to use yet : ) but now this makes me want to take everything out and play.
+Janet Visochi-Baum Thanks so much Janet. There are so many possibilities with this. If you don't have butterfly stamps you can print the images instead. Someone else suggested doing this with flowers too. Such a lot of fun xx
I love butterflies and I love adding them to my artwork. You have presented a wonderful way for me to make them and have a lot of them available to add to my "prettythings"! Thank you for sharing... :-)
Definitely need to invest in a butterfly stamp now! Saw a beautiful one at Michaels over the weekend and I knew I should have gotten it! These are beautiful!
Nina-I am so making a bunch of these. I love butterflies. They just make me happy. I think Christy Sobolewski actually has an all butterfly journal page on her 30 pages series here on YT. If you like to art journal and you haven't seen her channel you might want to check her out. She does lovely pages. This just reminded me of something I think she did where a whole bunch of butterflies were made and then put onto a journal page-3D style. I feel this will be my next page. Thanks for the inspirational reminder! I am really loving your channel! You are so fun.
+Ashs Vision Thanks so much for your lovely comment Ash. I will check out Christy Sobolewski as I've not come across her before, so thanks for the tip.
Love my Butterflys! My house is full of them due to a terrible addiction and friends that buy me them for me for all sorts of reasons! Lol....I make them as well and I use Butterflys every craft I do somewheres,,,,I believe "Butterflys are angels from heaven" Thanks for the great video!
Nina I love them! It looks like such an easy way to make a ton of embelishments very quickly. I bet that technique would look great using flower stamps . I'm also thinking gold and silver paint splatter or some glitter could add some bling! I'll have to make some of these when I get a chance. Thank you for another wonderful video!
+Kim Gableson Thanks Kim. These are a lot quicker and easier than the last ones I made! I love your ideas for this too and will be trying them out very soon! Tfw, hugs xx
+mari hop Thanks Marina. It's so true, we don't need everything we see others use. We just need to experiment with our materials a bit more I think to find out how versatile the basics are 🙂 xx
Just beautiful! I'm so glad you showed that you can make gorgeous bright coloured embellishments with simple supplies. Big thumbs up...thank you Nina! X
As soon as I saw your butterflies I knew I had to make some but then the blow came! Due to arthritis I couldn't cut them out. Ok, think again. I can change the order in which they are made. I can stamp the butterflies, and cut them out on my Brother Scan and Cut, then colour them. Might be a bit fiddly but still attainable 😆😍 Thanks for another great tutorial xx
Chris Harrison there are tissue sheets with butterflies at Michael's ...they weren't in a wrapping paper aisle, but more like new additions. Also...natuee, family, travel and children's magazines are good sources. I like fussy cutting, but not for numerous bits... and lastly... in addition to resale shop stamps finds, I've had luck finding punches...$4 US vs $12-20 at shops or online...though... aliexpess.com might be a useful resource.
