Thanks for the video. You saved me from throwing the machine away. My issue was slight different than yours in that I had 4 small stones imbedded in the magnetic impeller shaft. But I filed them down and reassembled the pump and voila, it works again.
Thank jebus for this video! I have the exact same ice maker and my water blinker would stay on when the water level would be at max! My pump had the exact same issue so I was happy this video was here because now my ice maker works perfectly fine once again!
Rudy saves the day and the ice maker, thanks Rudy. Great tutorial. I thought after you finished part 1 that it was like the other dorks on here at first till I remembered part 2. Ya done good kid, ya done good. I did everything you said except mines a bit different, But I couldn’t have done it without you. Thank you kind sir
Thanks for your guidance. My Igloo ice maker quit pumping as well. After removing the pump and basically drying the motor armature the works fine. Easy repair. Just wonder how many people just throw their ice maker away in disgust.
Thanks for posting your video alibabi has pumps 7.99 cdn takes three weeks as well as limit switches works like it should and have spare parts just to scare it into working lol tks again
Thank you, I took mine apart as described in this video and found some wool wrapped around the post that supports the cylinder. Be careful also a very small rubber washer on the other end of the post.
Your an excellent local tinkerer'' but you must start wearing shoes when in the shop! Luv ya! You guys are becoming a more of a rare breed...as the days pass..
I fixed mine using your video. I found that those small plastic zip ties are needed on the pump hoses because the pump might eventually start sucking air causing the water pressure to drop.
Got mine going as well, tapped the pump with a screwdriver, didn't take the pump off and away it went. I think the pump drys out over long time of none use. Thanks
Might want to try olive oil as you'll be ingesting the WD40. I just tore the same pump apart as it was very noisy. The impeller shift wears the plastic bore away so the impeller ends up catching and likely not pumping enough. I'm going to see if a new/cheap 12v wiper motor might work as a replacement.
I have exact same model. My problem is water keeps filling the tray and does not stop ounce tray is full. Any ideas what I should do ? Thanks great vid.
My Salton Ice Maker works perfectly until it must drop the ice in the ice older. It starts lifting the ice and then suddenly drop the ice before dropping it into the ice holder. Any suggestions ??
