Thanks for the video! My ice maker had the exact same problem! I don’t think I would of found out the problem myself. I ordered up a new micro switch through amazon and installed it this morning, making ice again! Jus saved me a couple hundred bucks! Thanks again!
Thanks for the video. I'd already stripped mine down and the poorly soldered blue wire from the PCB had come off. I didn't know here it should go and before I took a chance on blue going to blue, I watched your video and at 2:56 there is a perfect picture of where it should be. Thanks again.
One more thing you can check is the dump tray. If the dump tray has a small crack near the switch lever or isn’t spinning properly, that could effect the ice making too. Hope that helps.
Does the actuator trigger the compressor. I did see it was a 3 year old video but mine is not making ice i hope its that part and if you reply that be so cool
It could be the gear/ice tray bracket that spins the ice tray is stripped or cracked. I had a similar issue with my older model ice machine. I ended up repairing the crack with a metal washer that fit perfectly over the cracked portion of my ice tray and it worked for a few more years after that, up until the power capacitors went bad. Ice maker goes through all the phases but right before it dumps ice it shuts off and the light blinks when I push the button to start it again it dumps the ice makes more ice and then shuts off before it dumps the ice and on and on
Why does the on button light flash then if I push the button and it restarts goes through the phases right before the ice has dumped it shuts off and starts flashing again can I have to repeat it
