Wanted to thank you for this. Yours was the only video i found that walked through the wiring step by step and fully described it all. Came out amazing
Appreciate your video as always , I like you have the slinger 2 and now I’m looking into the slinger v2. I just don’t understand why they added the remote box when the old ones were all in one.
We have this fan which my husband is installing now. We installing two on our patio. The issue we having that the fan doesn’t seem to be turning fast at all. Nothing like in your video. My husband did the wires just the same as you. What can be the problem?
Sorry to hear that, I would make sure that the light is full dark solid green on the remote. Both fans are working slow or just one? Thanks for watching.
We installed this fan, took us a long time to get the remote receiver into the bracket. The remote hardware should be integrated into the fan base and only Power wires should be connected. Not impressed by install. The icons on the remote are dark, which makes them difficult to see.
I know what you are saying, but it can be done, this is why it cost so much for the installation. Honestly, we love these fans that are the reason we installed 3 of them. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and thanks for watching.
Originally my back porch had two ceiling fans wired together - one wall switch turned on both fans, and one wall switch turned on both lights. I installed two v2 slinger fans (with the crazy remote box wiring), and one works while the other one doesn't. The fan that works seems to move somewhat slowly. Is your experience that the rpm of the fan is somewhat slower vs other ceiling fans? as for the wiring, I had *no* copper ground wire from the junction box. Just white, black and red. Looks like red was used for the wall switch on the lights. Maybe one of the fans isn't working because of the wiring? Also, I see that you didn't tuck any of the wires into the jbox? You just secured the canopy cover with all of the wires outside of the jbox? Anyone with additional insight is appreciated as well. Thanks for the video.
One TIP I will share with you about the lights. Even though I set the different codes for all 3 fans (on controller/remote switch) and I have noticed that the bedroom fan has no issues, but my FR and LR has issues with light when both are running and if I turn the light on and it will turn on both and when I turn off then it will turn off both lights. To get around with the light issue I do this, I turn off the Family room fan and then I turn on the lights for the Living room, and then turn on the FR fan, and the light stays off. To turn it on just press it from the remote again. I hope it will help, thanks for watching.🙏🙌
@@SidhuDIY did you have a red wire coming from your ceiling of your home? If you did where did you connect it to? My home has a ground, white, black and red.
@@Jeffjames962 3wire connection from ceiling white is nut. blk is for hot switched and red is hot switched one for fan and one for light doesn't matter witch except the wall switches ,I always put blk on first switch for light and sec.switch I put red for fan. Hope that helps sounds like your about there I mean its been a week Lol
