Don’t spend 50+ dollars on a nutsert tool. Make this for a little over 2$ at any hardware store. Used this to install my new flat fenders on my JKU. ✌️

If it was MY Jeep, I'd be using the STAINLESS nutserts, not the plated steel. Then again, mine actually went off road a lot. For "street pretty status" perhaps not.

Yeah, that´s wrong, u have to hold the bolt stead, and turn the nut (with several washers between nut and rivnut, in order to not transport the turning of the nut to the rivnut, by means of friction)... YT is full of garbage, even people who obviously shouldn´t post videos, and it´s on u to recognize the mistakes...

If your hole is too big, either use the next larger size nutsert, or use a backing washer, to sandwich the hole. Too many drill or apply to a hole too big. That nutsert( rivnut ) should be TIGHT going in that hole. That way friction from expansion holds it secure. If your rivnut spins, you used the WRONG size.

Hi would you happen to know the size of the rivnuts ?

jaikaran2020 im not 100% sure as they came with the flares that I installed over a year ago, but they were a little too big. If you could find some that don’t require drilling out the holes, I recommend that.

5/16 -18 is 1.118" long, 1/4 - 20 is under 1" long, those are the 2 common sizes
