U don't need that big box. Perforated top sheet and ply bottom sheet r enough. For airtight connection need fixed rubber gasket at boundary. For uniform vaccum between two sheets groves in checks on any of plates are enough. For gradual suction u can hav a hole in suction pipe which is to be closed gradually. Don't need big suction pipe too.
Thank you! The colour change is due to the heat which changes the polymer chains of the plastic, causing amorphous sections of the chain to crystalize. The plastic then turns white because the way the molecules scatter light changes. You can try using a lower temperature on the PVC or use a different thermoplastic instead of PVC.
