I split the butter in half and add half Hugh ratio shortening to give it more stability.

I love making oversized cookies, isomalt creations, even the earth! whatever you can dream up I can make it out of cake! I use cake, isomalt, sugar, candy, fondant, cookies, buttercream (American buttercream is my favorite) royal icing, sprinkles… I even have a special recipe that uses flax seed (eww gross) to make my crazy cake creations.

Been baking since I was old enough to climb on the counters to get into the cabinets (not even joking). My momma & big sis had to watch me like a hawk. Mom called those my “science experiments!” Lol. Anyhoo, the “blow hole” trick is a new one! Wow! Proof that we are always learning, if we are only open to it. Thank you for that tip! I just turned 47, and my daughter gets a 28th birthday cake, this week, and my grandson gets his 1ST Big Birthday cake, in March! I’m striving for perfection and any tips or refreshers are a true blessing ❤ I’m so glad your channel popped up. Great tutorial, thank you! I’ve been decorating cakes for almost 10 years but just making my first wedding cake. The look using the spatula is exactly what my bride was looking for and I wasn’t sure how to do it...but now I do!! I love that you forgot to split the first layer and made that mess with the confectioners sugar. You are SO relatable and it made me feel a bit more confident. Thanks SO much!!! I wish you have a great wedding. Also a little tip, you can buy like special stands for a wedding cake that have branches an you can put each layer on its own branch instead of making a multi tier cake (which can be a bit difficlt cause the cakes tend to lean if you mess up your layers)

What is the width of your pans are they 2 or 3 inches and are there any particular brand of pans you prefer?
