I love that you are a professional and have had A-list clients but still use drugstore and more affordable products! Alot of the beauty gurus on here never really use the more affordable stuff. You are without question the finest, most accomplished makeup artist on You Tube, and certainly the best teacher, and on top of all of that... you're just so lovely and nice! Please know that I realize that you work with supermodels and celebrities, and that you are a celebrity in your own right, and rightly so... but, I just wanted to say how much I appreciate how down to earth you are. You talk about being busy, and going to the dentist, and having to get ready early, and you use terms like "flicky liner" and teach us all how to look and feel better about ourselves. Her make-up is very well-thought out and looks effortless, plus she has a admirable love for make-up artistry and history. I tried this look tonight to go out for my older daughter's 15th birthday. It was so easy, beautiful, and a very sophisticated look for something so quick. I don't have the Chanel palette, so I dipped my angle brush in a combo of matte black and slightly frosty deep purple eyeshadows. I am just finding you and your amazing tutorials now! Where have you been all my life? I have struggled with perfecting the winged look forEVER... it's so frustrating, even when I use an angled brush during application. Liquid liners are difficult, (for me) they look too heavy, or too over-done, sloppy, and one eye always comes out perfect, and the other not so much; in the end I usually just take it all off. I tried this technique this morning, and this will be my new Holy Grail of How To do PERFECT winged liner EVERY time.. Thank you, Thank you, Thank YOU!

Usually I kind of dislike winged liner, but this look is absolutely gorgeous! Often I think really neat, graphic liner can almost look cartoonish, so I love this approach. It's so pretty and soft, but it gives that lovely, elongated effect :)

you are seriously the only makeup artist on youtube that I actually learn something from! I would say I am pretty good at doing makeup and have been doing it for years now but the simple tip of putting the golden color on your lids really gives the eye a whole different look! Hi Lisa! I started to watch your channel 8 months ago when I started to learn how to do makeup. I have learnt so much from you. It is really beyond description. I have almost watched 80% of all your videos, and I am going to watch them over and over again. I feel that after a few months, I have some new understanding of makeup and can make my face prettier now. When I started, it was really a mess. It is just difficult for me to adjust the looks because I am Chinese and eyeshadows on my eyelids are always weird. I am constantly struggling with that. Anyways, thank you again. WOW Lisa you have opened a whole new world for me. I thought winged liner could only be accomplished with liquid or gel liner! I have eyelash extensions and I was told not to use liquid liner because it would affect the glue. This was horrible news since I liked wearing liquid liner. Your video helped me see there is another way with EYESHADOW! I am saving

Just beautiful I am one of those ladies that have trouble doing a simple cat eye but I will definitely do this for tonight.
