See this is why after all these years and out of all the many many RU-vidrs I watch you continue to be one of my absolute favorites! Always putting out original content. Emily I really appreciate that you make videos that cater to beginners and (likely) a younger audience with this series. When I first started really getting into watching beauty tutorials and into makeup I remember feeling very overwhelmed about the number of products everyone used and unsure of how to use them etc. I feel much more comfortable with it all now but I totally could have used something like this when I first started. Love you and LOVE your videos!

I love this! I think it has been so easy for many of us to forget that we can do single eyeshadow looks. We have become so accustomed to dramatic looks with blown out crease work and lower lash lines and massive eyeshadow collections. Thanks for reminding us that sometimes it's nice to bring it back to basics. Especially with those Milani singles! I have virtually all if them and they are definitely amazing!

My favorite "one shadow" looks are. Maybelline Color Tattoo in Bad to the Bronze. Wet n Wild single in Nutty, and Milani single in Bella Champagne.

Yes!! Thank you thank you thank you! I needed a tutorial just like this -- 30something makeup novice-ish here who also needs a classic/basic/understated look for work. This is perfect! I'd love this series to continue with other products/skills -- foundation with just one product, with more products when you have more time, a full face with five products, ten products, etc. Love it!

I love the idea of this video :) I am a busy person and let's be real- on an everyday basis, it is not practical for most of us to spend forever doing our makeup! I wish I had all the time in the world to get ready, and if I did- I would definitely do an elaborate eye look and makeup look in general on a daily basis. But most of the time- I don't have time for that and I don't really feel like putting that much effort into my makeup routine. On special occasions- yes, I will take the time to make my makeup look great. But day to day, I want something easy, fast and low maintenance. And this look is all three of those things :) love your videos Emily!! :)

Absolutely loved this series! I keep re-watching them over! I'm all about some easy, practical eye looks that I can just go to when I don't want to think too much about my eye makeup, but still want to look like I tried! I'm a mom of 3 small kids so these kinda looks are perfect for me!

You are a goddess! I have been begging for more tutorials! Yessssssss! Your eye looks over the last few months have killed it! I watch all of your videos and you do the very best reviews, hands down. I always share your review info with my friends, but I find lately I watch your reviews one time just listening, then I go back and watch it again while I try to copy the make up look you are wearing. I have two toddlers so social media is not something I can do right now, but nap time RU-vid time is a daily must! Thank you for being there for me to binge watch everyday while I get mommy time in!

Emily, this was so awesome! Eyeshadow isn't really something I am skilled with, so this was a great back to basics start. you are such a great teacher, amazing job. you explain things slowly and clearly!
