I have never thought of potatoes in salad 🤔. That's an interesting take. Thanks for sharing.

Hey Jill, retired chef 28 years and that is a nice looking plate of food. Definitely hot sauce. Love gong out in the garden and making a dish like that, that's why we garden. Yes we like meat but not every meal needs to have it. A nice couple slices of med rare venison backstrap would be great. Thanks for the video. God bless yawl. Mike

Great video. I love seeing the garden and seeing the food that is there to harvest. I loving watch homestead videos but a lot of the ones I watch have got where all they do is talk and not showing any planting or gardening.

What a nourishing bowl looks yummy can’t wait to try. I see you have your decor up! Could you do a decor tour and show us your family’s Christmas decor? Looks beautiful in the background!

I definitely needed that winter inspiration as I'm gathering my seeds, plans, laying out the garden space and it's SO gloomy and cold here in Ohio! Thank you for this awesome lunch idea and can't wait to get caught up on your Kimchi recipe

This is what I love doing... going out to my gardens and picking a fresh meal. I live in New England so I can only do that from April to November (fall garden - using cold tolerant varieties of greens). Now it's winter so I'll sit back with my coffee and watch you and dream about April.

Looks delish. Interesting idea with bagel mix on potatoes. My garden is done here in NY. I miss being able to do that. I would also do garden to table for breakfast. Jess inspired me to pick chard, kale, (both i had an endless supply) any kind of squash, tomatoes or peppers and sauté with onions and eat with eggs. Made a filling and healthy breakfast

When I make a meal just for myself I always find I make too much so someone else has a yummy find in the refrigerator they can heat up for a quick meal. I also make rice in bulk once a week and store in refrigerator in small plastic ware to add into meals throughout the week. My dressing is usually the drippings form whatever I cooked in the pan with olive oil. 😋 Tonight’s dinner home grown banana peppers, chopped onion, cup of shrimp, olive oil and shrimp. Nice change from turkey for a week after Thanksgiving.

I do something similar. I just replace all the green stuff with a ribeye, switch the carrots with bacon and use pepper sauce for a dressing. Small changes.

Can't wait for the kimchi recipe. I am new to fermented vegetables and so far loving them. Cucumbers are my favorite so far, I am surprised that I like them better than pickles. Kohlrabi is another favorite 😋

That looks amazing!! Thanks for sharing. I'll be watching for the kimchi recipe, can't wait. I would like to know about the fermented garlic, I use garlic a lot in cooking and would love to have some fermented for that.

Ooo, I didn't think of just taking florets from brocolli and cauli, good idea. Look forward to the kimchi recipe. I didn't like green cabbage saurkraut but love the red cabbage one. I didn't like my home made khol rabi or chinese cabbage kimchi so I am still looking and willing to try new recipes.

Yummo! This is something I'd love. My husband is very meaty so he'd need something sliced or ground but I'd have it as is!
